Keeway RKR165 Raising the Sports Excitement

The Keeway RKR165 is the brand-new addition in the row of Keeway Bangladesh stable. It’s the only sports model they are currently marketing in Bangladesh. The same model is also available in the world market with different capacity of engines. Hence the looks and design are profiled dedicating modern street-sport ergonomics.

The RKR165 is a fully faired sports model. The front end is fully aerodynamic with sharper FOX-EYE double-pit headlamp assembly. It also enhanced with an impressive, larger, and sporty windshield. After that, the cockpit is a digital-analog combo unit. The rev-counter is sporty analog, and the rests are fully digital with a lot of parameters.

The fuel tank is very nicely curved like a bigger sportbike. The sporty air-vents on the side panel are nicely crafted its both sides. Further, the handlebar area is very spacious even covering with fairing. The sporty clip-on handlebar is positioned comparatively in higher than the same segment other bikes. Hence even with the split seats, it allows comfy riding which some might mistake like riding in the upright position.

Coming to the tail, it’s very compact with bikini tail end. It includes a compact rear seat, notchy grab rails, sleek tail-lamp, and bony registration plate hanger. Coming to the rests, the alloy wheels are nicely designed. The exhaust is a skinny barrel. But the body panels are impressively multi-layered, sliced, sharper, and edgy. Overall, it combines a nice aerodynamic feature and of-course it looks good.

Frame, Wheel, Brake, & Suspension System

In the frame, the Keeway RKR165 constructed on an Arch Bar Truck Frame. In the wheel, brake, and suspension system it holding quite competitive features. The wheels are nicely crafted with sports alloy rims and tubeless type tires. The tires are much wider and street-sport oriented to ensure street performance and fuel economy.

Here the brakes are hydraulic disc type brakes in both wheels. The front disc is 260mm and its 220mm at the rear. In the suspension system, the motorcycle holding conventional upright telescopic fork suspension in the front. At the rear its Coil Spring Oil Damped mono. It also has a few levels of adjustability.

Handling and Riding Features

The Keeway RKR165 featured as a street sportbike. Therefore, sport riding posture and ergonomics adopted in this bike. It featured with different height sporty-split seating arrangement and slip-on handlebar. But the riding posture is not that much aggressive as the handlebar positioned comparatively in a higher position.

Further, steering maneuvering housing and body panel is much spacious. So, the riding seems much easier with comfortable maneuvering. Moreover, 112mm stroke of the front shock absorber and 43mm stroke of the rear setup can ensure a comfortable riding. Again, with 160mm of ground clearance, it promised to be a balanced pack.

In the other features, the wheel and brake setup also carry quite competitive features.  It comes with CBS, therefore, Combined-Braking feature. That commonly helps for safer braking. Meanwhile, in other dimensions, it weighted 153kg of unladen weight which might be a tough part for some riders. But 15 liters of fuel tank capacity obviously a positive side for the long-distance rides.

Keeway RKR165 Engine & feature

The Keeway RKR165 holding precisely a 164.7cc capacity engine. It’s a single-cylinder, four-stroke, liquid-cooled engine. The engine is also featured with 4-valve and fuel feed by the electronic fuel injection system. Hence this engine comes with return type 6-speed gear transmission and the starting method is electric start only.

Coming to the power and performance figure, this engine rated for 13.3kw, therefore, 18.08PS of power. The torque figure is 14.0NM; that is much impressive. The fuel economy is not figured by Keeway Bangladesh. But with the impressive compression ratio of 11:1 and EFI system, it seems to get a competitive figure of fuel economy.
