Yamaha Saluto is a 125cc commuting motorcycle from Yamaha which is the lowest engine displacement engine motorcycle in Bangladesh as all the rest 5 models are 150cc motorcycles. The bike is based on the concept of Economical & Practical of a family motorcycle. The new model achieved the best fuel economy in the 125cc motorcycles in Bangladesh, ACI Motors claims this bike will turn over 78 km/l (under test condition).
One of the biggest reason for this high fuel efficiency is due to the fact that this bike uses Blue Core technology which we can also see in Yamaha Fazer & FZS ( Fi V2) bikes, the bike also have a compact combustion chamber for better fuel efficiency. Another issue for the high mileage is the weight of the bike, which is just 112 kg(in terms of 125cc standard).
Saluto also feature both self & kick starter, bike’s engine is a carburetor unit 125cc which delivers 8.1 BHP & 10.1 NM of Torque. Front suspensions are telescopic and rears are swing arm. Both the tyres are 80/100 -18 with front disc brake as an option while the rear brakes are standard drums.
One of the striking things about the motorcycle is the higher 180mm ground clearance, both the pillion and rider seat is comfortable and have a good enough rear grab rail which is easy to hold for maximum safety. Fuel tank features cool graphic & muscular design along with Resin Plastic Cover to avoid Heating and Protection of tank body during any accident.
Speedometer is full analog which have all the necessary feature but added to that there is an ECO Zone to get maximum fuel efficiency. A ECO Zone notifies the rider an ideal riding condition like the synchronization of gear and speed.
