Day 1: SIAM Indo-Bangla Automotive Show 2017

BikeBD is the online partner of the SIAM Indo-Bangla Automotive Show 2017. Today we will bring you the news about some of the motorcycle companies from the show. The event will run from FEB 2-4 @ Bashundhara Convention Center near 300 Feet. Dhaka Bike Show over the world is a chance for motorcycle companies to showcase their new upcoming products. RUNNER AUTOMOBILESRunner Automobiles Limited is the only BANGLADESHI MOTORCYCLE company that is participating in the show. They are displaying two new bikes in the Indo-Bangla Automotive Show 2017 which are Runner Knight Rider & Runner Kite +. Knight Rider is a brand new 150cc motorcycle from the company. The bike features a 150cc air cooled engine which produces 12 BHP. The ignition is CDI. It also has Kick &Self-starter with a 240 mm front disc brake. This is the first bike from Runner which features a mono shock suspension which is also 5 steps adjustable. Speedometer is digital with an analog rev counter. This is also for the first time they have fitted tubeless tires in their bike and also it comes with 3 part handle unlike conventional pipe handle. Runner Kite+ is another new bike, Kite became a popular bike among the cub segment to the bikers in Bangladesh especially women riders used it a lot. Kite + is a complete new machine with 110cc engine with gives out around 3.5 BHP! Sadly the bike doesn’t feature any tubeless tires options but for safety they have given it 220 mm front disc brake. Now the under seat storage is bigger where you can fit a helmet and rear suspension is 5 step adjustable. They also gave this cub a stereo where you can listen to music while you ride & the ride is clutch less, so for many it will be easy to learn. In the same hut they are displaying UM-Runner bikes. For the people who are not aware UM have become a joint venture partner with Runner Automobiles Ltd and & recently Runner motorcycles are also being exported in Nepal. Bangladesh Honda Pvt Ltd Honda literally set the floor on fire when they revealed RC213V, in other words 2013 MotoGP bike with which Marc Marques won the 2013 World Championship. This is also the first time any MotoGP bike is displayed in Bangladesh, And Honda Bangladesh did this for the first time in the ground of Indo-Bangla Automotive Show 2017. They also displayed three new bikes which we believe they will launch in Bangladesh in the near future, the most exclusive of them all HONDA CBR150R 2016, it is a completely new bike compared to the old bike, the bike features a DOHC water-cooled engine which will deliver 16.9 BHP which is less than the single headlight CBR but the design is just spectacular, that LED headlight gives you an impression of a bike ready to inject venom. The bike also has a full digital speedometer, split seat, new switch controls, IRC branded tires, new body shape, frame, and most important of all the engine is completely new. They are also displaying Honda Dio&Honda BeAt, two scooters in the show. Both are 110 cc scooters but while Dio is made in India Beat is from Indonesia. Dio has well enough under-seat storage capacity and good enough legroom. It also features tubeless tires, combi braking systems & it weighs only 105 kg for a comfortable ride for both males & females. Honda Beat is another scooter, this is made in Indonesia and it is a very exclusive scooter, through the engine is air-cooled but it is if controlled by EFI and it has lots of safety feature like tubeless tires, auto key shutter, side stand switch, parking brake lock, combi braking system & ECO indicator for a more fuel-efficient ride. BHL is arranging a quiz session for the bikers who are coming in the Indo-Bangla Automotive Show 2017 & are giving away gifts to the winner. Sadly they are not letting anyone to sit and take pictures on the MotoGP bike but to me, it is a great pleasure even to see and feel it. ACI MOTORS – YAMAHA For the people who didn’t caught up with the news, Yamaha just few days back reduced the price of their motorcycles, they have Yamaha R15 V2, Yamaha R15 S & all other bikes which are in their product line up they are displaying at their stalls. They also have one antic 250cc bike in their stall. One of the most exclusive looking motorcycles in their stall is the Battle Matt Green of Yamaha FZS Fi V2. For all the three days event Yamaha arranged test ride session for the riders, whoever will come will register & then will get to test ride their bikes, they are also arranging MotoGP video games in their stall. It is a nice initiative by Yamaha motorcycle to arrange the test ride event where bikers can get a taste of not only Yamaha Saluto 125 but Fazer Fi V2 & most important of all R15 V2. Sadly however Yamaha are not displaying any new bikes in their stall but they did say to us that they will try their level best to bring Yamaha YZF-R15 2017 ( V3)in Bangladesh but didn’t mention the time of launch either the price of the bike.
