Bangladesh Police will get Yamaha FZ25 as police patrol bike.  The bike is distributed in Bangladesh through the hands of ACI Motors Ltd & will only be use for police patrol but not for public use.

 Yamaha FZ25 Joins Bangladesh Police as the New Patrol Bike

Bangladesh is a country where we don’t have permission for bikes over 165 cc. But just for police use Bangladeshi government gave permission to 250cc. We hope in the near future government will be kind enough to give 250cc permission for public use. Yamaha FZ25 is a commuting 250cc motorcycle from Yamaha. The bike feature LED headlight & tail light with indicators borrowed from Yamaha FZS. The bike is muscular & if you look carefully you will notice that this bike does look like an elder brother of Yamaha FZS.

The engine of the bike is a 250cc air cooled unit with 2 valve. The engine is oil cooled & is fuel injected. The engine is tuned to work as a commuting motorcycle so that it can ride well in city traffic. The engine produces 20.7 BHP @ 8,000 RPM & 20 NM of Torque @ 6,000 RPM. The engine is equipped with Blue Core Technology which helps to give maximum amount of fuel efficiency from the engine. It has a 5 speed gearbox to deliver the power on its rear wheel.

Among other features it has telescopic front suspensions, rear mono shock suspension which travels 120mm. The spring is dual – rate type which will provide a good combination of functionality & shock absorbing performance. Upfront there is a 100 section tyre while the rear tyre is 140 section. It has 282 mm 2 piston calipers front disc brake and 220 mm single piston caliper rear disc brake. There are split seats with slip resistant cover material which helps to have a better grip on the seat while riding on it.

Seating position is upright and it has a good standard height for the bikers to ride in city comfortably. They made the passenger seat comfortable with conventional grab rail. Yamaha FZ25 is a very light bike which weighs 148 kg (with oil & full fuel tank). The fuel tank can hold around 14 litres fuel & the company claims that it will have a mileage of 43 km/l & top speed of 145-150 km/h.

We hope that in the near future soon Bangladesh government will give permission to 250cc motorcycle for the general public, we are hoping for some good news in the 2018-2019 financial budget.
