Through an online launching event Yamaha India today launches Yamaha R15 V4 & Yamaha R15M in India. These two bikes came with lots of surprises in the market.

The brand new Yamaha R15 V4 now comes with a new design in the aerodynamic department. The front of the bike took inspiration from its elder brother Yamaha R7.

Yamaha Launches Yamaha R15 V4 & Yamaha R15M In India

It has a LED projection single headlight & on the side, there are dual LED DRLs. The handlebar of the bike has similar clips to it like the Yamaha M1 MotoGP bike. Along with the technical changes the bike also gets the following

• Assist & slipper clutch
• Variable Valve Actuation (VVA)
• Traction Control System (First time in any 150cc bike in India)
• Quick Shifter
• Front USD Suspensions
• Dual-Channel ABS
• Side stand engine cut off for safety.
• Track & Street mode for different riding.
• Duel horn
• Aluminum swingarm.

Although they made lots of changes to the bike the new bike gets the same 155 cc liquid cooling engine that we saw in Yamaha R15 V3. The engine produces 18.2 BHP @ 10,000 RPM & 14.2 NM of Torque @ 7,500 RPM matted with a 6 speed gearbox.

The new bike has a seat height of 815 mm, ground clearance of 170 mm & weighs 142 including fuel & oil in the bike. The fuel tank capacity of the bike is 11 litres. Attached with the front wheel there is a 282 mm disc brake & on the rear there is a 220 mm disc brake and both are connected with dual channel ABS.

17 inches rims get 100 section front tyre & 140 section rear tyre. Alongside Yamaha R15 V4 Yamaha also launched Yamaha R15M which is a more upgraded version of V4. Spec-wise both are the same but R15M

• Grey colour muffler colour

Yamaha R15M will be available in Grey Metallic & Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition. This is an epic move by Yamaha to launch V4 in the market and we are hoping that this new bike will be coming to Bangladesh very soon through the hand of ACI Motors Ltd to fight head to head with the new Honda CBR150R.
