Shine SP is known to be one of the most reliable motorcycle in our country. The current model has a 125 cc engine which produce 10.2 BHP @ 10.2 NM of Torque.
With 80 section tyre at both front & rear & disc brake as standard this bike also features side air scoop on the side of the fuel tank, digital analog speedometer, seal chain, longer seat & 5 step adjustable rear suspensions.
Honda also claims that this bike HET tyres to decrease the friction of the tyre with the tarmac & increase fuel efficiency.
- Hero Ignitor - 1,20,900 BDT
With disc brake at front as standard the latest edition having Integrated Braking System (IBS) this is the only 125cc commuting motorcycle coming from India with a bigger 90 section tyre. We in Bangladesh love a bit fatter tyre then standard & Hero answered that to us thankfully.

It is a very fun bike to ride which can provide a mileage of 52-55 kmplin Dhaka city which we found out during the testing of this bike. With adjustable rear suspension & comfortable seat this bike can tackle both the bad roads of Bangladesh as well as can corner very fast compare to many machines in this segment. The engine of the bike is powerful too, it produces 11.1 BHP & 11 NM of Torque.
- Bajaj Discover 125 - 1,33,500 BDT
It is technically the same design as it was ages ago, but with improve engine, a new meter console. The engine has DTS-i technology from Bajaj & produces 10.9 BHP & 10.8 NM of Torque.
Over the past few years Discover 125 has been one of the top selling bike in this segment due to Bajaj's having over 400+ sales point in Bangladesh & spare parts are easily available & are cheap compare to many in this segment.

Yamaha has one commuting motorcycle for the Bangladeshi market that is the Saluto. Which has proper rear suspension to give a comfortable ride on the bad roads of Bangladesh.
The bike feature an analog speedometer & during our testing we found a mileage feedback of 52 kmpl in Dhaka city. The longer seat is one of the talking point of this bike as it is soft, long & comfortable for two people to seat on it.
