TVS Auto Bangladesh Ltd recently launched TVS Apache RTR160 2021 in Bangladesh. With a price tag of 1,69,900 BDT (SD) TVS gave this new bike a wider 120 section rear tyre & New Race Inspired Graphics. There is a duel disc version of this bike which is priced at 1,74,900 BDT.

TVS Apache RTR160 2021 has a 160cc air cooling engine which gives out 13.9 BHP @ 8000 RPM & 13.03 NM of Torque @ 6500 RPM. Apart from the new wider tyre & a new graphics the race edition also gets a new fully digital speedometer with an LED colour change from Blue to White. The seat of the new bike gets new rexin.

After months of testing in Bangladeshi condition upon complain from many bikers TVS installed a new 120 section rear wider tyre compare to the old variants having 110 sections wider tyre. TVS believe that with a wider tyre it will hep the bike to have better rear wheel grip which will help for high speed stability.

This bike was one of the very first bike in the segment to feature 3 part handle bar, when we tested the bike back in 2018 we understood that this motorcycle has a good feature of having a low saddle height, which is very comfortable for bikers whose height are around 5 feet to 5 feet 2 inches.

Due to it's lightness which is 140 kg (duel disc version with 90% fuel & tool kit) and having a 16 litre fuel tank the bike can give a very good mileage feedback both in the city or on the highway. At the front of the bike there are basic telescopic suspensions & on the rear there are two gas filled inverted mono tube in the rear. The front suspensions are a bit on the softer side which helps the bike for off roading.

Although the new bike gets a bit fatter tyre on the rear while on the front they still kept the 90 section front tyre. Bikers will have 270 mm front disc brake as standard while on the rear they can either have a 200 mm disc brake option or 130 mm drum brake option.
