Bangladesh Honda Pvt Ltd. BHL officially launched Honda Dio with LED Headlight in Bangladesh today at Jamuna Future Park. The first MotoScooter in Bangladesh was first seen at many Honda Motorcycle showrooms in August of this year. Now the new MotoScooter gets an LED headlight, which is the first time in the scooter segment in Bangladesh.

The launching program started at 3 PM, with the unveiling of the new Scooter from Honda. Then the program was followed by DJ Music, Live Fashion Show, Photo Session with Honda Dio active owners from the respective Dealer points.  The opening ceremony were attended by Mr. Yuichiro Ishii (MD & CEO Of Bangladesh Honda Pvt Ltd),  Mr. Shoichi Satoh (Chief Production Offer of Bangladesh Honda Pvt Ltd), Mr. Naresh Kumar Ratan ( Vice - President of Bangladesh Honda Pvt Ltd) & other officials from Bangladesh Honda Pvt Ltd. Honda Dio was first showcased at Indo Bangla Automotive Show 2017.

It got a very good response from the bikers in that exhibition. The new Honda Dio will be powered by a 110 cc single-cylinder engine. The engine will be fan-cooled and it will have BS IV engine. This engine uses Honda Eco Technology (HET) for better fuel efficiency. This is a everyday usable scooter for commute to work, university or day to day use in life.

The engine of the bike produces 8 BHP of power @ 7000 RPM & 8.9 NM of Torque @ 5500 RPM. This MotoScooter doesn't have any gears but V Matic transmission, which in other words means auto gears, which will be very easy to operate. It has both self & kick starter. Like most other Honda motorcycles in Bangladesh, it gets a viscous air filter.

Honda Dio gets alloy wheels, with 90 section tires on both the wheels, the tires are tubeless. They added drum brakes in the scooter with Combined Braking System (CBS) with the equalizer. In CBS braking the front & rear brakes are linked together which provides better braking efficiency.  In terms of designing Honda Dio doesn't give a feel of being a ladies scooter but also a unisex scooter. It also has a flat foot board for keeping the legs in place while riding for the rider.

It gets body mounted LED headlight, AHO (Automatic Headlight On), unique LED positing headlight, wider seat & duel color tone. Honda Dio weighs 103 kg, it has an under seat storage capacity of 18 liters and 4 liters fuel tank. Price of the new Honda Dio with LED headlight is 139,000 BDT. Honda Dio is available in 2 colours, Sports Red & Candy Jazzy Blue. From today onward it will be available across all Honda dealer points in Bangladesh. After the launching event there were a test ride event of Honda Dio at the parking lot of Jamuna Future Park. 

Many riders participated in the event where they got the chance to test ride Honda Dio for the first time. Bangladesh Honda Pvt Ltd launching Honda Dio officially mark the start of their major strength in the subcontinent market. In India, Indonesia, Thailand & Vietnam Honda became very popular with their scooters & moped motorcycles. We hope with Honda Dio it will encourage more male & female riders to shift from motorcycles to scooters for more comfort & easy to learning machine.
