Honda Bangladesh Pvt Ltd launches Honda Dream 110 in Bangladesh, this is a new 110cc commuting motorcycle from Honda for the Bangladeshi market. The new bike will have a price tag of  89,900 BDT.

The launching program was hosted at Bangladesh Honda Pvt Ltd factory at Abdul Momen Economic Zone, Gazaria, Munshiganj, Bangladesh. The launching ceremony was innagurated by Mr Himihiko Katsuki, Managing Director & CEO of Bangladesh Honda Pvt Ltd.

So why a new bike ? Honda already had Honda Dream Neo in this segment but it was a bike which came in Bangladesh from Indian market, new Honda Dream 110 is a new bike which is launched with the help of R&D of Honda Global after doing research survey on what the customers in this segment want from their motorcycles.

According to BHL's survey bikers in segment look for the following in their bikes :

• Low seat height as most people in Bangladesh have an height of 5.5 feet.
• Comfortable seat with good suspensions due to Bangladeshi road
• Better fuel economy
• Reasonable price

This is Honda's first model in Bangladesh which goes into category 2 localization process, where not only the painting & welding are done in Bangladesh but frame body, swing arm are also made here & for the first time they are doing engine assembly in their factory in Bangladesh.

Due to this reason Honda is paying a 49% tax on Honda Dream 110 to the government while for other models like Honda Livo or Honda Shine SP they are paying 57% tax.

Honda Dream features 110cc air cooling engine which produces 8.2 BHP @ 7500 RPM & 9.1 Nm of Torque @ 5500 RPM. This is the same engine configuration they use in Honda Dream Neo & Livo but although power figure is less then both those two bikes the torque figure is more than Dream Neo.

The bike weighs 107 kg which is very light will be easy for city commute, the bike has a seat height of 775 mm with a ground clearance of 180 mm something is a very important need in rural area.

The bike comes in the market with attractive colour options, new grab rail, alloy wheel, tubeless tyres, long & comfortable seat, seal chain & maintance free battery.

The bike gets diamond frame, up front they have given telescopic suspensions while on the rear there is 5-step adjustable hydraulic suspensions. While the tyres are tubeless but there isn’t any disc brake, both the wheels get 130 mm drum brakes as standard.

Honda Dream 110 launching in Bangladesh began a new era for BHL in Bangladesh as in the future we hope more models will follow this process which will help to bring the down price of motorcycles in Bangladesh.
