This quarter liter Ninja comes with high tensile steel frame. According to Kawasaki, the frame design shadowed from the Hypersports model Ninja H2. Kawasaki used their advanced dynamic rigidity analysis to ensure optimum rigidity with the light weight of the Ninja 250 frame.

Therefore, the engine is also rigid-mounted and the frame design contributes significantly low curb mass and smartly deals maximum stress, shock, and vibrations. Hence this trellis frame is lighter in weight but strong, rigid and gives superior riding stability.

Coming to the wheels, the new Ninja 250 featured with lightweight aluminium cast alloy rims. The wheel size is 17” and tires are street profiled sports tire. Those are 110mm wider in the front wheel and 140mm at the rear. Hence both the tires are the tubeless type.

Sturdy Performances

The new engine massive performance upgrade that came through the new intake design and dimensions. Here the intake system widely updated with new downdraft air intake channel. Now the air box is bigger with 5.8-liter capacity. The downdraft channel also features for a shorter and wider path for the air.

Hence accordingly the fuel injection system also updated with 32mm throttle body where previously it was 28mm. So with the increased compression ratio of 11.6:1 the engine now can produce more 5kW of power than the earlier model.

The 2019 updated engine also comes with higher rev characteristics. Now it can produce 28.5kW of power at 12,500RPM and 23.5NM torque at 10,000RPM. According to the power figure, it’s quite the same as the Ninja 300 does but torque figure is different.

Assist & Slipper Clutch

Coming to the rests, the 6-speed transmission is supported by the slipper clutch system. The assist and slipper clutch is more efficient of quick power and torque delivery. Again sudden downshift or extreme engine braking is safer as it reduces the back torque and sudden rear wheel locking or skidding.

Finally, the heat management system of the new model also updated. The cooling radiator and fan setup optimized with a better position and efficient cooling features. The radiator heat is now directed toward both lower sides from the front. Therefore riding in hot weather or stuck in the heavy traffic it will allow maximum cooling efficiency and rider comfort.
