There have been multiple duplications of many bikes over the years. Most duplicates of bikes come out of the Chinese market. The reason for duplication is to give people cosmetically premium bikes at very cheaper rates. However, due to the cheaper prices, the quality of the bikes become compromised. Here we talk about the Loncin GP 150.

Longxin Motorcycle Industry Co. Ltd., commonly known as Loncin Motorcycles, is a subsidiary of the Loncin Holdings Ltd. Loncin Motorcycles are better known for engines, as it produces engines and other motor parts for BMW Motorrad. Loncin GP 150 is a cosmetic clone of the Honda CBR 150R Thai edition, with a few tweaks.

Key Features:
The Loncin GP 150 comes with a mixture of Halogen and LED lights. The front of the bike has a halogen projection headlight. The headlight is said to be of “Eagle” design. The taillight of the bike is of a unique four-edged star design and is LED. It has LED indicators, which are embedded in the fairing.
The Loncin GP 150 has a very attractive instrument cluster. The instrument cluster contains an analog rev counter, with the rest of it being digital. The digital screen contains the speed, a gear position indicator, an odometer, and a fuel gauge. The gear position indicator is a very useful feature, which many bikes still don’t get.
The Loncin GP 150 comes in two very attractive colors. They are:
Black.
White.
The black version of the bike gets some green lining around the edges of the bike.
The Loncin GP 150 comes with a giant muffler. The muffler looks extremely attractive and quite large. The bike also has an anti-skid split seat setup. The split seat (which many bikes don’t get) is a very big feature, as it gives the rider and the pillion their privacy.
Physical Attributes:
The Loncin GP 150 comes fitted with a clip-on handlebar, which makes the bike much more aggressive to ride. The bike is a rather short bike with a lower seat height of 780mm. But regardless of the low seat height, the bike has a high ground clearance of 180mm. This makes the bike completely immune from most speed bumps in town. The bike also has a fuel tank of 12liters, which may seem enough, but will be further discussed in the engine section.
The length, width, height, and weight of the Loncin GP 150 are 1985mm, 810mm, 1080mm, and 145kg respectively. The bike is on the heavier side, but this is so that the bike can hold on to the ground better during braking and accelerating. The bike also has a wheelbase of 1345mm, which makes it compact, but the wheelbase is also long enough to be stable at corners.
Engine and Transmission:
The Loncin GP 150 comes with a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 2-valve, and 149.9cc engine. The engine is carbureted and air-cooled. The engine pumps out around 14.8BHP of power at 8500rpm and 14Nm of torque at 6500rpm. This bike however may not have the best mileage of the bunch, as it is expected to have a mileage of around 35-40kmpl on average.
The Loncin GP 150 has a wet multi-plate clutch system. It has a 6-speed gearbox, which matches its description of being a sportbike. The bike is expected to have a top speed of around 130kmph.
Brakes, Suspensions, and Wheels:
The Loncin GP 150 has a dual disc brake setup. The dual disc setup significantly increases the braking performance of a bike. The bike however does not get ABS or CBS. However, the front disc has dual caliper, which makes it very good at emergency braking situations.
The Loncin GP 150 has upside-down telescopic suspensions at the front, and the rear has a mono-shock suspension. The front suspension being USD, may not respond very well to the bumpy roads of Bangladesh. However, the rear suspension may perform significantly well on bumpy roads.
The Loncin GP 150 has alloy wheels. The front and rear wheels have 110/90, and 140/90 tires respectively. The front and rear tires are both perfect for the bike. As it is a sportbike, riders will tend to corner while leaning, hence a thick 140 section tire at the rear perfectly matches the personality of the bike.
Target Audience:
The Loncin GP 150 is targeted towards the young sportbike crazy generation. A youngster riding the bike to university will love it. Even a young adult getting on this bike on the way to the office will enjoy it. The Loncin GP 150 is a near-perfect sportbike at a very cheap price. This will also attract a lot of people who are looking for a good-looking bike for a price that won’t put a hole in their pockets.
Competitors:
The Loncin GP 150 has quite a few competitors. They are:
Lifan KPR 150.
Beetlebolt Alligator.
Keeway RKR 165.
Roadmaster Rapido 165.
Overall, the Loncin GP 150 is a powerful 150cc sportbike and is very much commendable. The Loncin GP 150 has made quite an impression on the Bangladeshi youth for being very attractive and ticking all the boxes a young rider has.
