The foam can also be removed when washing to further improve the life span of your helmet. The headliner of the 4.0 now has integrated RHEON™ technology. RHEON™ is a reactive polymer that acts as a non-Newtonian fluid offering targeted energy dissipation from rotational and linear impacts. Rotational impact protection is especially important as it helps prevent your brain from undergoing sheer and twisting forces to the brain tissue in the event of a collision.

The shell has been refined and now offers an ECE 22.06 safety certification along with the latest DOT ratings. With the addition of the new safety ratings, the shell is now more streamlined and offers a quiet riding experience with reduced fatigue from long journeys. With the removal of the two top rear vents, you are just left with a front top and front chin vent that are both fully customizable to allow enhanced helmet climate control in both hot and cold environments. With the streamlined shell and fewer vents, the helmet now has a 57% greater acoustic performance than previous ATLAS models.
