Hero lunch two new 100cc bikes in Bangladesh, both the bikes are upgraded models of their existing two of the best selling bikes, Hero Splendor Pro & Hero Passion Pro. Today they did a small launching program at Dhaka Press Club.

Hero Introduces Two Powerful 100cc Bikes in Bangladesh

Hero is one of the market leader in the 100cc segments in Bangladesh, they have a range of seven 100cc motorcycles for the Bangladeshi market ranging from 1,07,000- 1,48,000 BDT, most of the bikes carries the same engine and transmission but it’s the design and features where the price differences are. Hero Passion Pro

Hero Passion is one of the most stylish 100cc bikes in Bangladesh and adds to that they bought out Hero Passion Pro which has many exclusive features. One of the first features that you will notice is the engine; Hero is working very hard on the engines for the past two years to bring out more POWER.

The new 102cc engine now produce 8.1 BHP which is around half more than the previous engine, and it delivers the same amount of torque so that even after carrying two middle aged person on it the bike faces no issues with speed. Other than an upgraded engine the bike also features a front 240mm disc brake which is the first time in Bangladesh for Hero. The rear brake is still a 130mm drum.

It’s not the engine or the disc brake that is new with the bike, the bike also gets some additional features like a newly designed tail light, a long silencers guard to help escape the heat, new front look, duel tone body colour scheme, stylish side cowl, 6 spoke cast wheels & an newly design speedometers with has a side stand indicators for safety. The height of the bike is also increased for better riding comfort.

The suspension of the bike is also very strong; the front suspensions are telescopic front shock absorber while the rear suspensions are also hydraulic shock absorbers with 5 step adjustable. Another thing which I notice about the bike is that the bike is light, weighing just 116 kg, which is good for speed and mileage, but Hero missed the trick of not adding tubeless tyres in the bike which should have been an excellent feature like they did with Hero i-Smart.

Overall looking at am impresses and I think the bike will be a good blend of STYLE, POWER & MILEAGE in the 100cc segments. We are waiting for the TEST RIDE REVIEW where we will tell you details about the bike.

Hero Splendor Pro

Splendor is highest selling bikes in Hero’s portfolio in Bangladesh; the bike is trusted by millions cross the world, now the bike is lunch in Bangladesh with more powerful engine, greater fuel efficiency & greater style quotient. The bike now feature new 102cc engine with 8.1 BHP under the belly to power it forward.

The new bike is also packed with many new styling elements including new front cowl, stylish new speedometer with side stand indictor for safety, new fuel tanks for exciting graphics, wider & bigger seat, rear carriers & n attractive tail light. The bike has both self and kick starter s standard, but unlike Splendor Pro the bike only feature drum brake  both front & rear tyres.

Just like Passion Pro the bike weigh nearly the same & shares the same telescopic front shock absorber while the rear suspensions are also hydraulic shock absorbers with 5 steps adjustable. All these upgrade only ss to the unmatched mileage and durability to the bike.

During the event the Managing Director of Hero asked the government to lower downs the tax on CKD manufacturer. He side that Hero will start manufacturing bike at their Gazipur plant soon next year. He also side that any reporter or journalist who will buy brand new Hero motorcycle will get special discount for Hero which will be valid till 21^st FEB 2016. Also Hero will help the buyer with EMI system through the process of a bank if anyone is interested to buy Hero bikes through installments.

Hero will launch new Hero Hunk very soon in Bangladesh & but their main focus will still be on the 100cc segments which covers more than 60% of the market share.
