VERDICT
There are somethings that Bangladeshis cannot get enough of; which are discounts, tea, and commuter bikes. The Bangladeshi public is obsessed with commuter bikes because they have the best value-for-money prices and the best mileage. Chinese commuter bikes used to be looked down on, but nowadays they have a better reputation.
In recent years Chinese bikes are becoming more desirable due to their affordable prices and increased features. The H Power Max Z is a 150cc commuter that was imported by the Bangladeshi manufacturer H Power.

H Power is a Bangladeshi motorcycle manufacturer that has been manufacturing motorcycles since 1995. Since its inception, H Power has been trying to manufacture motorcycles with the newest technologies and highest efficiency. H Power mostly works in the assembly of motorcycles, which they import as CKD units and then assembles here in Bangladesh. The H Power Max Z is also a Chinese motorcycle that is imported by H Power.

Key Features:
The H Power Max Z comes with very sporty decals and designs. The bike comes fitted with air scoops at both sides of the tank, and a very fat exhaust. The bike has a long single seat with the rear elevated enough to give privacy to both the rider and the pillion. The exhaust design of the bike is also very attractive. The bike also gets a preinstalled mudguard. The bike comes in two colors. They are:
- Black.
- Red.
Both colors have the same decals.
The H Power Max Z comes with a very basic but informative instrument cluster. The instrument cluster has a speedometer, an odometer, a trip meter, an RPM counter (analog), a fuel gauge, and other necessary indicators. The bike has all the information both a beginner and a veteran rider need.
The H Power Max Z comes with a halogen headlight and taillight. The headlight has an aggressive look, but the light itself is not the brightest, due to being halogen. The taillight is quite minimalistic in design but is very attractive. The LED indicators are also quite bright to be noticed from a distance.
Physical Attributes:
The H Power Max Z has an average height of 780mm, which is suitable for most people shorter than 5’8”. People above that height might have difficulty while sitting. Regardless of the short seat height, the bike has a fairly good ground clearance of 175mm. The bike also has a large fuel tank of 14liters, which will be extremely helpful during long rides out of town.
The length, width, height, and weight of the H Power Max Z are 2030mm, 780mm, 1120mm, and 155Kg. As you can see, the bike is on the heavier side. The weight may cause fatigue to the rider in heavy traffic. The bike is not very compact, as it is quite thick, but it does have an average wheelbase of 1330mm, which is suitable for high-speed cornering.
Engine and Transmission:
The H Power Max Z has a 4-stroke, single-cylinder, and 150cc engine. It is carbureted and air-cooled. The H Power Max Z has been down-tuned to make the power more commuter-friendly. The engine produces 10.06BHP of power at 8500rpm, and 9.2NM of torque at 6500rpm. This down-tune will improve the efficiency of the bike. The bike has a mileage of around 40-45kmpl.
The H Power Max Z comes with a basic wet multi-plate clutch system. The bike also comes with a 5-speed gearbox. The top speed of the H Power Max Z is expected to be around 110kmph.
Brakes, Suspensions, and Wheels:
The H Power Max Z comes with a full disc braking system. The front-wheel gets an average-sized disc brake, which is good enough for emergency braking but isn’t the best. The rear brake is also disc, which increases the braking power of the bike significantly.
The suspension of the bike is a whole new chapter. The front gets telescopic forks as the suspension and the rear gets a mono-shock suspension. The front suspension is expected to perform well at corners and across bumps. The rear is also expected to give good support during cornering.
The H Power Max Z gets a new wheel setup. The rear wheel of the bike now has a 110/80-section rear tire. The rear tire is a bit disappointing as a 120 or 130 section tire would have been the most suitable for a bike of this segment. The bike also has an 80/90-section front tire, which will make it better in the corners and on the rough roads of the city.
Target Audience:
The H Power Max Z was made for the new generation. As the newer generations are becoming more understanding, a simple, which is why good-looking commuter bikes appeal to them. A student or a fresh graduate will find this bike to be very enjoyable. The bike is suitable for a few trips out of the city now and then but is not the best for everyday tours.
Competitors:
The competitions according to our test rider will be quite a few.
- Race Fiero 150FR.
- Benelli TNT 150.
- Bajaj Pulsar 150 series.
