After a really long run of the first model, finally, Suzuki Motorcycles have launched Suzuki Gixxer 2019 Edition in India. After the launch of 2019 Suzuki Gixxr SF and Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, this was an inevitable thing to happen, and after so many spy shots and leaked images, the Suzuki Gixxer 2019 is Finally launched.

Suzuki Gixxer was and still is a really great bike, but the only complaint about it was that it was a really old model. While the competitor companies were launching new and updated models, Suzuki was stuck with the 5-year-old design and engine.

It was rumored that a change was coming, and some months ago the launching of Gixxer SF 2019 along with Suzuki Gixxer 250 confirmed then rumor. A while back, there were spy shots and leaked images of 2019 Gixxer spread all around the internet, and everyone got really excited when they learned about the differences of the 2019  Gixxer with the previous Suzuki Gixxer 155.As Suzuki Gixxer 155 2019 Edition is launched in India, Let's dive into the details and about the upgrades and differences with the older version. 

Suzuki Gixxer 2019 - Details and upgrades

The first thing about the latest Suzuki Gixxer which catches the eye is the new headlamp. The new headlamp is a newly designed oval-shaped LED headlamp with a Street-Fighter aesthetic, and features no windshield or even shield protector for the meter. The speedometer is the full digital meter from the faired Suzuki Gixxer SF 2019. The second thing that catches the eye is the cowling on both sides of the fuel tank. they are redesigned along with the fuel tank, and the whole bike features a dual tone color setup. The seats are now split seats with a newly designed grab rail, and a new LED taillight. The tires of the bikes remain the same, 100 section on the front and 140 section at the back. There is a tire guard with the back tire which gives a better look, and the iconic dual-barrel exhaust from the previous-gen is carried over without any major cosmetic change. The bike now has dual disc brake as standard, and it also has single-channel ABS.

Suzuki Gixxer 2019 - The Powercore

The engine is the heart of any motorcycle, and the new 2019 Suzuki Gixxer gets the same engine as it's faired sibling. It is almost the previous 154.9cc single-cylinder air-cooled SOHC engine with some major tweaks. The engine now has fuel injection as fuel supply system and produces  13.9 bhp of peak power. The power is a bit lower than the previous-gen, but the torque figure remains the same as this engine will produce 14 Nm of torque. This engine is built to match up with the upcoming emission standard, which is the BSVI standard. Maybe soon other manufacturers will also release their bikes with engines compatible with this upcoming emission standard. There is a good chance that after this 2019 Suzuki Gixxer 155 launch in India, Suzuki will also introduce a Suzuki Gixxer 250 which will be a street fighter sibling to the Gixxer SF 250.

Suzuki Gixxer 2019 has just been launched in India. Though there is still no official news about when it might arrive in Bangladesh, hopefully, it will arrive soon. Looking at the Indian price tag, it seems like it is gonna have a price bump comparing to the older gen Gixxer in Bangladesh. Hopefully, it is going to add a flare to the competition, and give everyone a run for the money.
