Hyosung GT125R & GT125 - Upcoming Motorcycle In Bangladesh. Hyosung Motorcycles are been imported in Bangladesh. This time we can’t mention the name of the importer due to business secrecy. On the other side we still don't have too many details about their plan & everything but we do have some idea about what products they will do marketing with in Bangladesh. We are almost certain that they are working with Hyosung GT125R & GT125. So here we are.

Hyosung Company Profile:

Hyosung was founded in 1978 as a division of the Hyosung Group of Industries. Hyosung began production of Japanese Suzuki motorcycle designs under the license for the Suzuki Korean market. In 1986 they established their own research & development centre in Japan.

In 2003, Hyosung Motors & Machinery Inc. was spun off from the Hyosung Group to become its own corporate entity. In June 2007, Hyosung Motors Division was acquired by Korean company S&T Group (Science and Technology), and the name was changed to S&T Motors. In 2014 S&T Motors was acquired by Kolao Holdings, and the name was changed to KR Motors.

They have a wide range of product line up consisting of cruisers, street naked & sports bikes from 125cc, 250cc & 650cc. Recently they are developing a electric scooters for city commuting in their plant. They export their motorcycles in many different parts of the world.

Hyosung Product Line Up in Bangladesh:

Currently we have seen two products lined up for the Bangladeshi market. That is Hyosung GT 125R & Hyosung GT125. The Hyosung GT125R is the full faired version and Hyosung GT125 is the naked one. Lets get more detail of the models.

Hyosung GT125R

Hyosung GT125R is the 125cc sports bike with two cylinder engine & the bike have 8 valve ( yes you heard it right), most high end sports bike in Bangladesh have 2 valves but this bike have 8 of them so the air & fuel coming into mix is more in the ratio. The compression ratio of the bike is high too hence the power output, the bike gives out 14.65 BHP @ 10500 RPM! and 10.2 NM of Torque at 9750 RPM.

Unlike many sports Hyosung GT125R have 5 speed gearbox with 110 front section tyre and the rear tyres are 150! But the most striking thing about the bike is its weight! The bike weighs 182 kg (with fuel & oil) GT125R is huge in size and it will be very difficult for small people to handle the bike if he is a rookie rider.

Front suspension Hyosung GT125R are upside down & there is hydraulic adjustable rear shock absorber in the bike. Both the front and rear brakes are hydraulic with the front disc is situated on the left side of the bike. Both the piston on the front & back are duel calipers.

The bike's handle bar is straight like a rear sports bike, with a nice speedometer & many other warning lights on the dashboard. Tail light of the bike is LED while the indicators are bulb type but there is a grab rail on the back of the bike for better pillion comfort. The muffler is stainless body with no protector on it There are two headlights in the bike with one on top of another & are projection headlamp.

Hyosung GT125

Gt125 is just the same bike as like GT125R but the bike is naked so it doesn't have any body kit so it weigh less then it's big brother, unlike the projection headlight GT125 has halogens headlight. Handle bar of this bike is pipe handle type like we see in naked street bikes.

We still don't have any details about the launching date of the bikes or the estimated price of these two models but once we will know about them we will let you all know more about it. It is nice to see that over the past 6 months many importers are bringing high end branded sports bike in Bangladesh which has better quality & giving the bikers of Bangladesh a different taste.
