This TVS Apache RTR 160 is one the entry level variants of its series named “Apache RTR” which was launched on 2007 in India. This is a bike which already has a very good market demand without entering into our country till now.
As the craze of RTR150 at the present is high of the peak so we can easily determine that this Apache RTR 160 is going to be another hit of its series. TVS Apache RTR 160 looks, design and appearance
As the RTR stands for “Racing Throttle Response” and according to this term this bike has some very aggressive and sharp looks by its external designs. The pilot style headlight and attractive LED light made it also much attractive and keep differentiation with all the other bikes. There is not any significant changes in looks or design with RTR 150cc version in this RTR 160cc version. So it has as aggressive looks as the older 150cc RTR had till now.
TVS Apache RTR 160 Wheel, Break and Suspension
It has the same wheels as the front tire is 90/90-17 and rear tire is 110/80/17. Both the tires will be tubeless and will perform as well as they are doing in the present. 17 inch rim size will make the users to choose from a heavy number of tires in our country’s bike market.
This bike has 270mm petal disc brake in the front and 200mm petal disc or 130mm drum brake in its rear side.. This will not be any exceptional thing to handle rather than same recognized braking system in the older version of RTR. As it is a racing throttle series bike it got telescopic forks of 105mm stroke in the front and mono tube inverted gas filled shocks with spring aid in the rear.
TVS Apache RTR 160 control and riding type
The handle position of this bike is situated quite as sporty position in its segment. Rider has to be bended to downwards a little bit for the cause of the way the handle is situated. This type of seating position will bring a racing or speeding flavor to the rider’s inner self.

It has a four stroke, air cooled, single cylindered 159.7cc engine which can create 15.2 BHP at 8500 RPM and 13.1 NM at 4000 RPM. This is nearly the same as RTR 150 bike’s engine can produce. So it will also be high responsive in throttle sector and will deliver greater speed in shorter time as a racing throttle responder. It also includes electric and kick both type of start along with dual mode digital ignition system. The bike is fitted with a five speed transmission & the engine is carburetor system. This engine is also a power booster and heavy performance generator in its segment.
