Chinese commuter bikes are slowly gaining quite a popularity due to their low pricing and good mileage. Over the years people have started to leave the old thinking of “Chinese products are unreliable” and have started to accept Chinese motorcycles for how good they are. Zaara 110 Digital is a 100cc Chinese commuter bike that is imported and distributed by H Power.

H Power has been engaged in various types of businesses since 1995. Since its inception, H Power now has been trying to manufacture motorcycles with the newest technologies and highest efficiency. H Power mostly works in the assembly of motorcycles, which they import as CKD units and then assemble here in Bangladesh. The H Power Max Z is also a Chinese motorcycle that is imported by H Power.

H Power Motor generally sources its motorcycles and scooters from various vendors and companies from China. Hence, they rebrand their sourced models under their brand name H Power. Further few models of motorcycles were kept with original brand names. Hence all of their marketed models are commonly known as H Power motorcycles. The Zaara 110 Digital is also a Chinese motorcycle that is imported by H Power.

Key Features

Zaara 110 Digital is a very good offering from the company. This bike features a 110 cc segment engine with a sporty touch to its styling. With an out-of-the-ordinary design, it surely grabs the attention of people around. The Digital part comes from a Digital instrument cluster assembly as an upgrade over the popular Zaara 110.

The Zaara 110 Digital comes in two attractive colors. They are Red and Black. Both the bikes are of gloss finish. Both the colors come with sporty, but different decals. The decals are very simple but make the bike stand out.

The Zaara 110 Digital comes with a basic light setup. The headlight is a halogen light, which is enough for the city commute, but not the best for the highway. The taillight is also halogen, which is bright enough to be noticed. The indicators are also halogen bulbs. Coming to the design of the lights, the lights look like something taken off of a bike from the late 90s.

The Zaara 110 Digital comes with a very informative instrument cluster. The instrument cluster has a speedometer, an odometer, a trip meter, an RPM counter, a fuel gauge, a gear position indicator (digital), and other necessary indicators. Most of the instrument cluster is analog. An analog instrument cluster may be appealing but is quite a hassle to understand at one single glance, which is why this instrument cluster is not very ideal.

The Zaara 110 Digital comes with a fairly modern commuter design but is not very rugged. The bike does not scream out “sport”, rather whispers “sensible’ with its design. The bike has a very compact design, which will enable it to be maneuvered easily through heavy traffic. The bike also has a stock luggage rack, which will make it easy for the pillion to hold on or to carry a large amount of baggage easily.

Physical Attributes

The Zaara 110 Digital has an average height of 780mm, which is suitable for most people shorter than 5’8”. People above that height might have difficulty while sitting. Regardless of the short seat height, the bike has a very good ground clearance of 200mm. The bike also has a large fuel tank of 12liters, which will be extremely helpful during long rides out of town.

The Zaara 110 Digital is a very good-looking bike. This bike is 2000 mm in length where the width and height are 780 mm and 1240 mm respectively. The weight is 107kg for this nifty machine for easy operation and handling with a good 160 mm ground clearance. The fuel tank can hold 12L of fuel. The styling, as well as fit and finish, feels quite nice to be honest, unlike the stereotype about this segment is not well finished.

Engine and Transmission

Zaara 110 Digital possesses a 106 cc, 4-Stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. The CDI engine has a very high compression ratio of 13.5:1. The starting method is both electric and kick-type. The engine produces a peak power of 5.8 kW @ 5000 RPM and peak torque is 7.5 Nm @ 6000 RPM. The transmission is a 4-speed manual one with Wet multi-plate clutch.

Brakes, Suspensions, and Wheels

The Zaara 110 Digital comes with a competitive braking system. Zaara 110 Digital comes with ventilated disc up front and a drum at the rear wheel, which is good enough for emergency braking in this bike, which is the best or the safest option for a commuter-type bike. A disc brake at the front has done more capability to this bike. The rear is also a drum, which is okay for this bike.

The suspension of the bike is a whole new chapter. The front gets telescopic forks as the suspension and the rear gets twin spring-loaded suspension. The front suspension is expected to perform well at corners and across bumps. The rear is also expected to give good support across bumps with a pillion.

The Zaara 100 gets a new wheel setup. The rear wheel of the bike now has a 3.00/17-section rear tire. The rear tire is a bit disappointing as a 3.25 or 3.5 section tire would have been the most suitable for a bike of this segment. The bike also has a 2.75-section front tire, which may not be the best, but is acceptable for this bike.

Target Audience

The Zaara 110 Digital is targeted to the young customers of bikes or say, city commuters who are looking for a great bike for moving around and about in the city. Basically, students, young job holders, and small businessmen are the main customers of this bike.

The Zaara 110 has been made for the regular commuter. This bike is not made for touring or long rides, rather it is made for short rides inside the town with or without a pillion. This bike will be desired by people who are looking for a bike only for the sole purpose of commuting.

Competitors: The main competitors of Zaara 110 Digital in Bangladesh are the likes of:

  • LIFAN Glint 100
  • H Power Recover
  • Atlas Zongshen ZS 100-27

The competitors are having a tough fight from Zaara 110 Digital for its sporty ergonomics and performance.

Brief Conclusion

Overall, the Zaara 110 Digital delivers in the segment with what the bike was meant to do. This is a motorcycle boasting of nice looks with decent performance and great comfort. So, the buyers will be most likely be satisfied with such a purchase.
