The Yamaha R15 V4 is the latest model of the renowned R15 series. The Yamaha R15 has become the poster bike for practically all motorcycle enthusiasts in the South Asian region throughout the years. The Yamaha R15 V3 was the zenith of sports bikes for most Bangladeshis, as it is regarded as the benchmark of sport bikes. There have been competitors in the past, such as the Honda CBR 150R and the Suzuki GSX-R 150, but none have achieved the same level of popularity as the Yamaha R15 V3. The new Yamaha R15 V4 is predicted to grow in popularity even more than the previous model.

The best feature of the Yamaha R15 V4 is the completely new design. The Yamaha R15 V4 comes with a completely new face. The headlight is redesigned to look a lot like the R7. This design includes a central LED projection unit and two separate LED headlights. The indicators are bulb types just like the previous versions. The taillight is also probably going to look similar to the previous version. The bike also has a slightly redesigned tank, which looks much more muscular than before and a bit taller than before.
The handlebars of the Yamaha R15 V4 looks slightly elevated than the previous version, which should make it a bit less track centric and a bit more comfortable for long rides. The rear pillion seat looks slightly larger than the previous version, so riding with your significant other or your buddy will not be as problematic as before. The exhaust design, however, remains the same as before.
So far, the Yamaha R15 V4 only can be seen in one color, which is the grey. The grey version has some blue accents on the decals and the wheels. There will definitely be more colors, and you can also expect a new monster version of the bike. As the Monster Yamaha team is on its way to winning the MotoGP rider’s cup with Fabio Quartararo leading the table with a huge margin, you may expect this MotoGP version to be a much cooler version than the previous ones.
The new Yamaha R15 V4 is expected to be equipped with a completely new instrument cluster. The new instrument cluster is also expected to have new features such as range, better fuel calculations and also Bluetooth.
The Yamaha R15 V4 was designed for the entry-level racing experience; hence the seat height of the bike is kept quite high at 815mm. The bike also has an average ground clearance of 170mm. The bike is also sporty; hence the height can be justified. The sporty look also incorporates clip-on, which makes it rather an aggressive postured bike. However, as previously mentioned, the clip-ons seem a bit higher than before. The bike is expected to have a fuel capacity of 11liters, which will be enough for the occasional rides out of town.
The length, width, and height of the Yamaha R15 V4 are 1990mm, 725mm, 1135mm, and 135kg respectively. The power to weight ratio of the bike tilts towards the power, which means the power delivery will be more linear and smoother. The bike also has a very small wheelbase of 1309, which might make new riders overwhelmed during cornering.
Engine and Transmission:
The Yamaha R15 V4 should come with a 4-stroke, single-cylinder, and 155.1cc engine. The engine is expected to be liquid-cooled and also fitted with fuel-injection. The engine is going to pump out a staggering 18.35BHP of power at 10000rpm and 14.1Nm torque at 8500rpm. While the power is extremely high, the torque figure is quite average. The bike is expected to have a mileage of around 45kmpl on average.
The Yamaha R15 V4 is also expected to rock the slipper clutch similar to the previous version. The slipper clutch allows for auto downshift assist. The bike is also expected to have a high speed similar to that of the previous version of about 140kmph.
Brakes, Suspensions, and Wheels:
The Yamaha R15 V3 has undoubtedly one of the best braking systems available in the country. The Yamaha R15 V4 is also expected to come with single-channel ABS. The front has a disc with ABS which makes the emergency braking more efficient. However, we are yet to know whether the rear wheel will get ABS or not.
The Yamaha R15 V4 comes with adjustable telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear are expected to be the main suspension setup of the bike. The front telescopic forks are expected to come with preload adjustability, and so is the rear mono-shock. This should make the bike more comfortable both for the rider and its pillion. The bike will now be easier to ride on the bumpy roads of Bangladesh and will also be fun to lean during cornering as well.
The Yamaha R15 V4 should have alloy wheels. The front and the rear have a combination of 100/80 and 140/70 tires respectively. The front tire is perfect for the bike. The rear tire is also perfect for this bike, as it makes it really admirable.

The Yamaha R15 V4 has a few pros and cons like every other bike.
