Victor-R Classic 100
Victor R Classic 100 Overview
The hunger for classic bikes has been there since the inception of the modern designed bikes started to emerge during the early ’90s. Bangladeshi bikers have been asking for good café racer type bikes since way back. But very few manufacturers answered their calls. One of those manufacturers is Victor. They came with the Victor R Classic 100.
The Victor R motorcycles reach Bangladesh through Rasel Industries Limited. Victor R Classic 100 was brought to Bangladesh in around 2017. It has since then made a name for itself for being one of the best-looking bikes on a budget. It has also made a good name for itself for being a good bike.
One of the most interesting facts about the Victor R Classic 100 is its design. It looks partially like a café racer but it also has a raised handlebar. The handlebar was mainly raised to make it comfortable for the streets. The bike is very comfortable for a single rider and enhances the overall aesthetics for a single rider. The seat and tank were made to look like that of a café racer as well.
The second most interesting factor about the Victor R Classic 100 is the instrument cluster. It is of a classic minimalistic design. It is small and circular and has all the information that is required. It has a speedometer, odometer, and everything else that is needed.
The Victor R Classic 100 doesn’t only come in one color, but it comes in three:
All three bikes come in different decals.
The bike has a mixture of Halogen and LED lights. The headlight is halogen, while the taillight is LED. The halogen light is enough to roam around the city, but may not be sufficient enough for the highway.
The Victor R Classic 100 is a short motorcycle. It has a low saddle, with a good ground clearance of 160mm. This ground clearance is enough for city commute. It also has a small tank of only 8liters, but considering the fuel efficiency of the bike due to the low capacity, it will be sufficient for the commutes.
The Victor R Classic 100 has a small body compared to other bikes. The height, length, width, and weight of the Victor R Classic 100 are 1240mm, 1840mm, 800mm, and 80kg respectively. The bike is one of the lightest bikes presently in the country. This bike also has a very short wheelbase of 1200mm, which makes it very compact and nimble.
Engine and Transmission:
The Victor R Classic 100 has a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, and 97.78cc engine. The engine is carbureted and air-cooled, which is expected at this price range. The engine pumps out around 8.04BHP at 7500rpm and 7.8Nm of torque at 6000rpm. The power is quite adequate compared to other bikes of this range. It has a possible mileage of around 58-65kmpl on average.
The Victor R Classic 100 also has a basic wet multi-plate clutch system. There are 4 gears for the transmission, which means the engine brake is stronger and adequate for turning without a downshift. It has a company-claimed a top speed of 90kmph.
Brakes, Suspensions, and Wheels:
The most disappointing aspect of the Victor R Classic 100 is the brake setup. The bike comes with a dual drum setup. A disc brake at least at the front would have done the bike justice. The brakes are the most important aspect of the bike, and the dual drum setup is the biggest turn off for a bike.
The Victor R Classic 100 comes with a telescopic fork set up at the front and a telescopic spring-loaded setup at the rear. The front telescopic forks are expected to respond well on the road. The rear dual spring-loaded setup may not be the friendliest setup to have on the bike, as they tend to be a bit too soft and dance around too much on bumpy roads. The suspensions at the front also come with covers to keep the oil seal secure from debris.
The Victor R Classic 100 has spoked metal wheels, which perfectly matches the aesthetics of the bike. It has 2.50/17 and a 2.75/17 tire setup. The front tire is okay for a 100cc bike which is compact and less powerful. The rear wheel would have been better if it was a bit thicker at 3.00 or 3.25. The rear wheel has a risk of sliding or skidding on the road.
The Victor R Classic 100 is targeted towards the classic bike lovers. This bike will satisfy the people who are looking for a good-looking café racer type bike but is also suitable for the city commutes. This bike is also very forgiving towards the beginners, as this is not very overwhelming. This bike will be appealing to beginners and classic lovers.
Since there are not classic bikes at this price range of this segment, it can be said that this bike has no competition.
On average, the Victor R Classic 100 is a good looking, nimble, and simple bike. It resembles café racers, which the Bangladeshi consumers have been asking for, for a very long time. This is a good bike with a few flaws.
