Scooter riders of Bangladesh till a few years ago were quite less. However, in recent years, the number has increased exponentially. People are becoming more and more interested in scooters, as they are easy to learn, easy to ride, and simple to operate. Scooters are also more secure than regular motorcycles.
Taro Bangla is a daughter concern of the Sikder Group of Industries. Taro Bangla brings Taro motorcycles to Bangladesh. These motorcycles are fitted with premium components. One of the most popular motorcycle series of Taro is the Taro GP series. After finding success from the Taro GP series, they directly brought the Maxi scooter without going to any other segments. The scooter is the Taro F16 CT Max.
The Taro F16 CT Max is a Maxi scooter. A Maxi scooter is a touring scooter, which means it must come with full fairing and a huge body. The scooter also has an extended windshield which diverts the wind away from the rider’s head. The long single seat has been separated by keeping the rear section slightly elevated. This gives the rider and the pillion a proper amount of privacy. The pillion seat also has a backrest which allows the pillion to sit comfortably on long rides. The scooter also has a big storage space.
The Taro F16 CT Max comes in two colors. They are:
- Metallic Silver.
- Metallic White.
Both the scooters come with little to no decals. This gives the scooter a cleaner and more refined look.
The Taro F16 CT Max comes with a Halogen-LED mix light setup. The headlight is a dual halogen light. The headlight also comes with two LED DRLs, which give the scooter a premium look. The indicators are integrated with the head section of the scooter. The indicators are also LED and quite big, which allows the scooter to be noticed from a distance. The taillight is also LED and huge, which makes it noticeable.
The Taro F16 CT Max comes with a very informative instrument cluster. The instrument cluster has a speedometer, a trip meter, an odometer, an RPM counter, a fuel gauge, and other necessary indicators. Additionally, the scooter gets a clock and a battery health meter. The instrument cluster has all the necessary indicators and more.
As previously mentioned, the Taro F16 CT Max comes with quite a large body, which is intended to secure the rider from any upcoming injuries. The scooter comes with a weight of 140kg, which may seem a bit too much for a scooter, but this is not just a scooter, it is a maxi scooter. This scooter comes with a 13liter fuel capacity so that the riders won’t have to worry about long rides out of town.
The length, width, and height of the Taro F16 CT Max are 2110mm, 785mm, and 1290mm respectively. The body of the scooter may be big, but it has a very aerodynamic body, which allows it to cut through the wind easily. The wheelbase of the scooter is 1315mm, which is quite big for a scooter and allows it to be very stable while cornering.
Engine and Transmission:
The Taro F16 CT Max comes with a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, and 129.9cc engine. The engine is liquid-cooled. The scooter comes with only an electrical starting mechanism and not a kick-start. The engine provides 12BHP of power at 8500rpm and 9.2Nm of torque at 5500rpm. The power and torque of the scooter are quite adequate for the capacity of the scooter. The scooter is also expected to have a good fuel efficiency of 40kmpl.
The Taro F16 CT Max comes with a fully automatic transmission system. There is no gear shifting involved while riding this scooter. The scooter is also expected to have a smooth ride. The top speed of the scooter is expected to be around 110kmph.
Brakes, Suspensions, and Wheels:
The Taro F16 CT Max comes with a dual-disc setup. The front wheel has a single disc, which increases the braking efficiency significantly. It also comes with a disc at the rear wheel, which is very rare when it comes to scooters. The dual disc setup will put the braking of the Taro F16 CT Max on top of scooters at this price range.
The Taro F16 CT Max has regular telescopic forks and a single gas-charged shock absorber at the front and rear respectively. The front telescopic fork suspension is expected to have a decent response like most telescopic suspensions have. The rear shock absorber may not be the best for potholes, but it will be very stable at high speeds on the highway.
The Taro F16 CT Max also comes with alloy wheels and tubeless tires. The front tire is 120/80, which is expected to perform decently on the road. The rear tire is 130/60, which is also expected to perform decently and well on both dry and wet roads. The thick wheels also allow the bike to have great traction.
The Taro F16 CT Max is made for the tourers. This scooter is targeted towards the riders who want a good scooter with physical attributes that are needed for touring. This scooter is not suggested for the commuters, as the big scooter will have difficulty squeezing through heavy traffic.
The Taro F16 CT Max is a good touring Maxiscooter, which is one of the few Maxi scooters in this price range. For people on a budget, this scooter will be a great choice.
