Roadmaster Prime 100
If you are a Bangladeshi, you passed at least ten Roadmaster Prime 100 on the roads till now. The reason for this is that the bike was made for the middle-class Bangladeshi. The bike is so good in its class that people fall in love with it without knowing.
Roadmaster is a Bangladeshi Motorcycle manufacturing company, which makes/assembles their bikes in Bangladesh, and uses the tagline “Made in Bangladesh” in almost all of their bikes. Roadmaster Prime 100 is one of the commuter bikes of Roadmaster, which has significantly grown to be one of the most sought-after bikes in the country.
Although most commuter bikes are made quite bland, the Roadmaster Prime 100 has a few cards up its sleeves.
The first thing to look for in the Roadmaster Prime 100 is the design. The design is not like one of the old 100 cc motorcycles. It has a sporty and classy design which induces confidence in the rider when preparing to start the day. The design of the bike will make you feel like a teenager, regardless of how old you are.
The Roadmaster Prime 100 also comes with a gear indicator on the dashboard. Many people opting to buy this bike will be beginners, who will feel more confident with a gear indicator while learning. The bike also comes with an rpm counter and a speedometer, and the other necessary indicators.
The Roadmaster Prime 100 comes in two colors. They are:
The Red version of the Roadmaster Prime 100 comes in full red color with a few different colors of decals, whereas the black one comes in a black tank, with most of the decals and the tail section is blue.
Roadmaster Prime 100 is a small bike. The bike has a low seat height. But with low seat height, comes a low ground clearance. The ground clearance of the Roadmaster Prime 100 is 160mm, which is not ideal. The bike is although quite compact and small and is easy to control and handle.
The length, width, height, and weight of the Roadmaster Prime 100 are 1980mm, 860mm, 1260mm, and 102kg. The bike is quite light, which makes it easy to swing over and hold between two legs in traffic. The bike also has a small wheelbase of 1290mm, which is suitable for the power of the bike. The bike also has a 15liter fuel tank, which allows you to forget the last time you refueled it.
Engine and Transmission:
The Roadmaster Prime 100 comes with a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, and 100cc engine. It has a CDI ignition system. The bike has both self-start and kick-start mechanisms. The bike also comes with an engine kill switch, which is quite rare when it comes to 100cc bikes. The engine pumps out 6BHP of power at 8000rpm and 6Nm of torque at 5000rpm. The bike is expected to have a mileage of 65kmpl.
The Roadmaster Prime 100 comes with a basic wet multi-plate clutch. It comes with a 4-speed gearbox, which means, you don’t have to downshift when you need to make a sharp turn. The 4-speed gearbox and low power also mean that you cannot be a street Rossi on the highway.
Brakes, Suspensions, and Wheels:
The most disappointing aspect of the Roadmaster Prime 100 is the brake setup. The bike comes with a dual drum setup. A disc brake at least at the front would have done the bike justice. The brakes are the most important aspect of the bike, and the dual drum setup is the biggest turn off for a bike.
The Roadmaster Prime 100 comes with a telescopic fork set up at the front and a telescopic spring-loaded setup at the rear. The front telescopic forks are expected to respond well on the road. The rear dual spring-loaded setup may not be the friendliest setup to have on the bike, as they tend to be a bit too soft and dance around too much on bumpy roads.
The Roadmaster Prime 100 has alloy wheels. It has 2.75/17 and a 3.00/17 tire setup. The front tire is okay for a 100cc bike which is compact and less powerful. The rear wheel would have been better if it was a bit thicker at 3.25 or 3.5. The rear wheel has a risk of sliding or skidding on the road.
The Roadmaster Prime 100 was not made for the street Rossi’s. It was made for the sensible commuters. The bike was made for the regular commuter and for the ones who see bikes as merely commuting transportation systems, which will only take its rider around town and not out of the city. The regular office goer who is looking for a bike, but has a low budget, will find this bike to be suitable. This bike is also suitable for a new rider. It is easy and nimble to ride, which makes it very comfortable for new riders.
Roadmaster Prime 100 has quite a few competitors in its segment.
