Introduction: Recently, Uttara Motors Ltd. launched the brand new BAJAJ Pulsar NS160 FI ABS in Bangladesh. It will have almost all the features similar to the BAJAJ Pulsar NS160 and the Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS). A Fuel Injection system now replaces the carburetor. See pulsar ns160 fi abs pictures here. The tagline is, “Ride fearlessly.”
History: The BAJAJ Pulsar NS160 was first launched in mid-2017 in India following the success path of the BAJAJ Pulsar NS200. In Bangladesh, the launch date was September 29, 2019, for the FI-ABS variant. Motorheads of the country received this bike with great joy at the launch of this new bike.
Features: Key features of BAJAJ Pulsar NS 160 FI ABS are in its name. FI stands for Fuel Injection and ABS for Anti-Lock Braking System. It has AHO (Automatic Headlight On) system, backlit switchgear to help you at night. It features an Oil Cooled engine with a DTS-i twin spark ignition system and an underbelly exhaust. Hence, this bike is more efficient and safer than ever before; that said, it was not inefficient in the first place.
The color options for this bike are all beautiful. Every choice is a dual-tone one. The colors of this bike in Bangladesh are:
- Passion Red + Satin Black
- Pearl Metallic White + Satin Black
- Glossy Putter Grey + Satin Black
- Sapphire Blue + Satin Black
This bike has a muscular stance aided by an aggressive headlight design and underbelly muffler, all of which increase the presence of the cycle. No other bike in this class today has underbelly exhaust apart from this one. The distinct two-part slashed taillight is also a charm to watch. The beautiful decals leave a trace on the onlookers’ minds even long after you whizzed past them.
There is also a newer version of the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, known as the Pulsar NS160 Refresh. This version of the bike is an entirely new color variant with a carbureted engine. The new motorcycle looks much more relaxed than the previous version. However, the engine is a bit of a turn-off. The new variant also comes with a single channel ABS at the front. The ABS allows the braking of the new variant to be more stable and smoother.

Body Dimensions: The all-new BAJAJ Pulsar NS160 FI ABS is a stunningly good performing motorcycle. Thanks to its Perimeter frame, it ensures good handling dynamics while riding. The wheelbase is 1370mm on which the 148kg bike stands. The bike is balanced so well that it is very agile yet stable. The bike has a 12 liters fuel tank that feeds the engine through the injection ports. The overall length of BAJAJ Pulsar NS160 FI ABS is 2017mm, while the width and height are 803mm and 1060mm. The ground clearance is 167mm.
Engine & Transmission: BAJAJ Pulsar NS160 FI ABS possesses a 160.3cc, 4 Stroke, single-cylinder, 4-valve DTS-i engine that is oil-cooled and fuel injected. This mill’s Power & Torque figures are as follows: 15.02 PS @8500 rpm & 14.12 Nm @ 6500 rpm. This machine comes with a 5-speed Transmission.
Suspension, Brakes, Wheels: The suspension system has a dual telescopic system upfront with an anti-friction bush and a Monoshock with a Nitrox canister at the rear. The front brake is a 260 mm Petal Disc paired to the wheel with a 90/90-17 49P tire. The rear brake is a 230mm disc attached to the revolution wrapped in a 120/80-17 61P tire. Both the wheels get tubeless tires for better performance and to avoid sudden deflation.
The petal discs also come with ABS, as the name suggests. The ABS allows the bike to be more stable in tight situations and makes the braking smoother. The ABS is, however, only single-channeled. Single-channeled means only the front tire gets an ABS, and the rear tire gets essential braking.
The tire setup of the bike is a bit disappointing, as it has only 90/90 and 120/80 section tires. This setup is a bit thin for a bike of this caliber. This setup also limits the cornering ability and the gripping ability of the bike. Thicker tires may easily improve the cornering ability of the motorcycle. A 130 section tire at the rear and 100 section tires at the front would have done wonders for the bike.
Best For: The BAJAJ Pulsar NS160 FI ABS is for the youth, yet it is very much usable by the older generation. City riding is very doable on this motorcycle. College and university students and young job holders are the main customers of this motorcycle. Many middle-aged users also use this bike daily for their need for commuting and inter-city riding.
The motorcycle is also very good at highway speeds. It easily lets the user do inter-city commutes thanks to its comfortable seating arrangement for both the rider and the pillion. So, you can do long rides with friends that will be fun and safe.
