In 2019, TVS Motor revealed the revised version of the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V last year, which brought the entire motorcycle contingent’s jaws to the floor. The new design was sharper and gave it a more attractive look. This is why the people of Bangladesh were extremely excited about the new design when TVS Bangladesh declared that they are bringing the new design in the BS4 variant.
TVS is one of the leading motorcycle manufacturers in India. TVS is so big that they even have collaborated with the German Legend BMW Motorrad. The brainchild of the collaboration was the BMW G310R. The most iconic series of TVS is the Apache RTR series and the Apache 310RR series of motorcycles. When the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V was released in Bangladesh, people became nuts for the bike, as it provided optimum quality and performance at an affordable price.
The new TVS Apache RTR 160 4V comes with a somewhat new design and a completely redesigned head section. The DRLs of the headlights have been brought up with a facelift and have been separated from the headlight section. The headlight is an AHO LED unit with separate brows as the DRLs. The taillight has been kept somewhat the same, as it is quite noticeable. The indicators have also been kept the same.
The icing on the cake is the new instrument cluster of the bike. This new instrument cluster allows the rider to connect their phone directly. This gives you a more personalized motorcycle. All the information, such as the ODO, average speed, top speed, mileage, and many more will be available to you at the click of a button. This allows the rider to have a better idea about what is going on with their bike.

The new decals are more sport-oriented and they also give the rider a sharper feel.
The New Apache RTR 160 4V is a very nimble bike. It has a seat height of 800mm, which is suitable for riders above 5’4” and below 5’9”, but the riders beyond that height might find it a bit difficult to ride on. The bike also has a ground clearance of 180mm, which is exactly like the previous version and also quite enough. It also has a tank of 12liters, which ensures that the rider doesn’t run out of fuel very often in long rides.
The New Apache RTR 160 4V has length, width, height, and weight of 2050mm, 790mm, 1050mm, and 143kg respectively. The weight of the bike allows the bike to stay grounded at high speeds. The bike also has a wheelbase of 1357mm, which allows the rider to stay stable while leaning at corners.
Engine and Transmission:
The New Apache RTR 160 4V comes with a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, and 159.7cc engine. The engine is carbureted and oil-cooled. The engine pumps out around 16.6BHP of power at 8000rpm and 14.8Nm of torque at 6500rpm. The saddening fact is that this bike does not get a fuel-injected engine. The bike is expected to have a fuel economy of around 40kmpl.
The New Apache RTR 160 4V has a wet multi-plate clutch system. It has a 5-speed gearbox, which is not ideal for a 160cc bike but can be accepted. The bike is expected to have a top speed of around 130kmph.
Brakes, Suspensions, and Wheels:
The New Apache RTR 160 4V has both a dual disc variant and a drum variant brake setup. The front disc is expected to perform quite well. For the rear, it can be expected that most people would opt for the dual disc variant as that allows the rider to have more confidence while braking.
The New Apache RTR 160 4V has upside-down telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. The suspensions will be good enough for the riders to comfortably lean in the corners. The suspensions may not be the best for riding with a pillion, but for the solo rider, the suspension will be great.
The New Apache RTR 160 4V has alloy wheels. The front and rear wheels have 90/90, and 130/70 tires respectively. The front tire is not the best, but it is enough for the bike, as a 100/90 tire would have performed better. The rear tire would also have been better and performed at the top of its class if it was 140/70. The overall tire setup may not be perfect, but it is enough to ride safely.
The New Apache RTR 160 4V is targeted at the youth. The young university goers and the fresh graduates riding to their offices on this bike will look stunning. The bike is very suitable for young riders. However, for beginners, this bike will be a bit overwhelming as this bike has a lot of power being pumped from the engine. This makes the bike more suitable for intermediate or experienced riders.
