Lifan K19

Lifan is a Chinese motorcycle manufacturer. Lifan is one of the leading motorcycle manufacturers in China. Lifan has completely redefined the Chinese motorcycle scene in Bangladesh. People who used to make fun of or look down at Chinese motorcycles now praise them and consider them as options.

The Lifan KPR series is one of the bestselling sportbikes in Bangladesh, which explains the quality of Lifan. The Lifan K19 is a cruiser bike that was released in 2020 and instantly became a favorite to many people.

Lifan K19 Key Features:

The Lifan K19 is a cruiser. The bike comes stock with an elevated and wide handlebar. The seat of the bike is split into two parts to make it more comfortable and slightly slanted back. The seats are quite soft as well.

The bike does not have any grabrail, which is a bit disappointing. However, for solo touring this bike is perfect with its ergonomics.

The Lifan K19 has a unique setup of lights. The headlight has a split setup for the high and low beam. The headlight is an LED setup. The light is more than enough for the highway.

The rear has an LED taillight. The taillight is duck-shaped so that it can be noticed from a distance. The indicators are bulb, with big reflectors.

The Lifan K19 comes in two colors. They are:

• Camellia Red.

Both colors come with the same decals. There are almost no special decals, except for the logo and some other brandings.

The Lifan K19 has a unique instrument cluster as well. The instrument cluster includes a speedometer, an RPM counter, a trip meter, an odometer, a gear position indicator, and other necessary indicators. The instrument cluster is positioned on the tank, which might seem a little inconvenient, but the placement and elevation make it visible. The key slot is positioned at the side of the bike.

Lifan K19 Physical Attributes:

As the Lifan K19 is a cruiser, it has a low saddle-height of 710mm. With a low seat height, it also has a small ground clearance of 155mm. At this ground clearance, the bike may have difficulty passing most of the speed bumps. The bike also has a fuel tank of only 14liters. The fuel tank will make sure you don’t have difficulty on long rides.

The length, width, height, and weight of the Lifan K19 are 2250mm, 905mm, 1330mm, and 150kg respectively. The bike is naturally on the heavier side as this is a cruiser. The bike was made to conquer the highways, not the city streets, hence the weight is not to be complained about. The bike has a huge wheelbase of 1505mm, which makes sure that the bike is stable in the corners.

Lifan K19 Engine and Transmission:

The Lifan K19 comes with a single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 2-valve, and 165cc engine. The engine is fuel injected and liquid-cooled and has NBF2 technology. The engine pumps out around 17BHP of power at 8000rpm and 17Nm of torque at 6500rpm. It is expected to have an economy of around 50kmpl combined.

The Lifan K19 has a wet multi-plate clutch system. It has a 6-speed gearbox, which is suitable for cruising. The bike is expected to have a top speed of around 115-125kmph.

Brakes, Suspensions, and Wheels:

The Lifan K19 has a disc-drum brake setup. The front brake is a disc brake, and the rear brake is a drum. The front brake is expected to perform quite well, as the disc has a large radius. The rear wheel would have performed its best if it had a disc brake instead of a drum.

The front of the Lifan K19 has telescopic forks as the suspension and the rear has two adjustable spring-loaded suspensions. The front suspension is expected to respond well as most telescopic suspensions do. The rear suspension will perform better due to the adjustability, which is a function more than often too rare. As this is a cruiser, the bike is also not made to lean too much during cornering.

The Lifan K19 has alloy wheels. The front and the rear wheels have 110/90 and 130/90 section tires respectively. The tire setup is good, as this setup allows maximum grip. However, if the rear tire was a bit wider, the grip of the bike would have been better.
