Bajaj Avenger Street 150 Review
Overview: After applying the CC limit over the bikes in Bangladesh there was no good enough cruiser bike to consider until Bajaj Auto launched their Bajaj Avenger Street 150 via Uttara Motors (Source).
Bajaj’s Avenger is being around for over a decade but with higher displacement. But this time Bajaj considered about a rider who wants an affordable, stylish, powerful enough cruiser bike to cruise around the city. Hence the birth of Avenger Street 150.
It has a 150cc engine producing 14.54 PS @9000 RPM and 12.5NM of torque @6500 RPM. The wide, flatter, slightly lowered handlebar with the rider’s footpegs are placed forward and a mighty giant well cushioned seats which give it the cruising feel while riding that its name promises. More about this bike is discussed below.
Design and Features: Design-wise the Bajaj Avenger Street 150 shares everything with the Avenger Street 220 except the nameplate or the name badges on the Bike and the colors of the bike. The Avenger Street 150 comes with only two color choices, Midnight Blue & Cosmic Red. The first thing that catches the eyes is the way the bike looks.
Look wise Avenger Street shares a lot with The Harley-Davidson Street Bob. A 17-inch 12-spoke alloy rim with 90 section front tire, the round headlamp (55W @low beam & 60W @high beam), the instrument cluster on the fuel tank (though it has a small analog speedometer and digital odometer cluster fitted on the handlebar).

A big saddle for rider and a smaller pillion seat, a 15-inch 9-spoke alloy rim with 130 section rear tire, the black-chromed finish on all the parts, a perfect short sporty exhaust, cruiser style tail section, GT styled strip, lower saddle height while wheelbase is longer all these reminds us the Harley-Davidson street cruisers we dreamed of riding.
Engine, Performance, Efficiency: The Avenger Street 150 has a detuned Pulsar’s 149.5cc single cylinder, air cooled, 2 valve, twin spark, SOHC, DTS-I carbureted engine. Which has an output of 14.54PS of peak power @ 9000 RPM and 12.5 NM of peak torque @ 6500 RPM. Bajaj Auto has tuned this engine to have maximum low-end thrust considering its purpose as city street cruiser.
All of these power is delivered with 5-speed wet multiplate gear box which is super smooth. The approximate top speed of the Avenger Street 150 is 105Kmph while average mileage is 45Kmpl. The fuel tank has the capacity of 14 liters and 3.4 liters as reserved fuel capacity.
Breaking, Handling, Comfort: The Avenger Street 150 has 240mm front disk and 130mm rear drum break which should be adequate for average usage. For shock absorbing its equipped with telescopic with anti-friction bush at the front and twin spring loaded shock absorber at the rear. The Street Control handlebar is fitted such a way that riders will not have any problem steering it.

The lower saddle height also ensure that the rider has maximum confidence on the bike while riding. The fat 90/90-17” 49P front and 130/90-15” 66P rear tires also ensures that the bike has a maximum possible grip on the road. The 1480mm wheelbase makes it a long bike in footprint but the 169mm ground clearance and 725mm seat height make it easier to ride both in city traffic and highway.
Conclusion: The Bajaj Avenger Street 150 is the sports cruiser that we have been demanding for a long time. For someone who is in cruiser bikes, Avenger Street 150 is a bike worth considering.
