Kawasaki Motorcycle released all new Street Naked Kawasaki Z125 in European market. Within a while it also expected to hit the Asian market. Hence we are featuring here the featured review of the new and younger Z. So let’s get the detailed picture of the new Street Fighter with Kawasaki Z125 Feature Review.
Kawasaki Z125 – Overview
Kawasaki Z is the popular Street Naked Sports series of giant Kawasaki Motorcycle. The company already is marketing a 125cc pocket Z that called Z125 PRO. But that Z125 PRO is not a regular street sports model as that profiled as pocket commuter.
Therefore the new Kawasaki Z125 is all new motorcycle that carries all the Z features of Kawasaki Z Series. It’s a full size street naked sports motorcycle with standard wheelbase, chassis, wheel, suspension and engine. Furthermore this is the youngest sibling in the series that carries the true Kawasaki Z DNA.
Kawasaki Z125 – Street Naked Looks & Design
The Kawasaki Z125 is the true breed from the Kawasaki Z Series. It carrying the iconic Z styling that somewhat directly hired from Kawasaki Z250SL model. Here the frame, sub frame, wheel, suspension and other ergonomics all are imported from that quarter liter model. But of-course differences came with dimension, finish and color schemes.
Hence new Z125 is same sharp and edgy in design like its immediate elder sibling. But it looks more appealing with all new dual scheme color and sticker job. From head to tail it looks like true street fighter. In addition the macho side panel and bone like tubular frame added a true naked attitude.
The motorcycle is crafted with both matt and glossy plastic panels. Whereas the sharp headlamp assembly, tail lamp, tank fender, side panel with under belly pans everything shows its sharp and edgy appearance.
Here the seat is sporty split type, fuel tank is muscled and ODO is positioned naked after the pipe handlebar. Coming to the exhaust it’s also iconic and that looks same like the Z250SL. Hence overall the new machine got all new looks even it similar to the Z250SL.
Kawasaki Z125 – Wheel, Brake & Suspension
The new Kawasaki Z125 also cloned the wheel, brake and suspension system from Kawasaki Z250SL model. Here the chassis also similar to the same. Hence the stability and performance already tested and qualified.
Here the new Z125 comes with 17” all alloy rims with tubeless tires. The tires are 100/80-17 in front and 130/70-17 in rear. So they are duly featured for street sports riding and plying on the solid surfaces.
Coming to the braking system both the wheel fitted with hydraulic disk braking system. Here the disks are sporty petal and vented type. Furthermore both the rear and front assembly comes with double piston clipper assembly. Hence the braking system is also enhanced with independent ABS system.
In suspension system the Kawasaki Z125 comes with 5-way adjustable mono shock absorber in rear. The suspension is gas charged and that unite with swing arm through Uni-Track system. Hence with 120mm travel it featured to be more stable in high speed corners and will allow sports riding even in sharp corners.
Here front suspension of Z125 is 37mm hydraulic telescopic fork suspension that comes with 110mm travel. Hence again it also featured for hardcore sports riding, playing and also commuting on the roads. So you can see the new machine is fully featured with sports characteristics.
Kawasaki Z125 – Engine & Feature
The new Kawasaki Z125 powered with all new powerful 125cc capacity engine. The engine is a four stroke, single cylinder and liquid cooled engine. Here valve system is featured with DOHC with four valves and fuel injected with 28mm throttle body fuel injection system.
Hence with 11.7:1 compression even this small displacement engine can produce significant power and torque. But due to over square cylinder its power is quite higher than the torque. Therefore street sports riding should be crispier as the power figure is around 15PS and torque is around 11.7NM.
Again the engine is high rev character engine that comes with 6-gear transmission. Its maximum torque delivered at 10,00RPM. So the acceleration should hit up to the top RPM range. Sequentially riding or playing with sporty style is widely appreciated with new Z125 and you know this is the true characteristics of Kawasaki Z Series.
