Hero Super Splendor BS6 – All-New Ecofriendly Commuter
The new Hero Super Splendor is the new motorcycle in the Hero Splendor series. This bigger displacement model in the series added in 2018. And in the new BS6 revision the new model comes with few tweaks and emission updates. Hence in the looks, it comes with the refreshment of new color and graphic scheme.
At the looks and design, Hero tried to follow the iconic Splendor theme on the new Super Splendor. But it somewhat resulted in an all-new motorcycle with different looks & designs. The bloated headlamp and fuel tank somewhat gave the impression of a Splendor. But literally it boasted a new design.
Here the bigger headlamp assembly and fuel tank is quite exposed and bold part of the bike. Both of them crafted with a new graphical scheme. The ODO console is a new unit, that is an analog-digital combo that attached with necessary perimeters.
The upright positioned pipe handlebar and the larger straight seat shows its commuter identity. In the end, the metal grabrail and sporty sleek taillamp somewhat add the sporty ergonomics. Coming to the rests, the body panel is sleek, simple, and those crafted with nice sticker works.
In the overall looks and design, the new Super Splendor BS6 followed a very simple and straighter profile. It focused on the commuting features but applied modern and eye-catching graphics from head to tail. Hence it looks simple and no doubt will nicely match any type and age of commuter user for sure.
Frame, Wheel, Brake, & Suspension System
The new Hero Super Splendor BS6 is structured on a tubular diamond frame. Along with the new steel frame the motorcycle also featured with the all-new wheel. brake, and suspension system. Here the wheels are featured with nice designed 18” all-alloy rims. Those also include the tubeless type tires.
In the braking system, it profiled with standard hydraulic disk brake in the front. As an option, the conventional drum-type brake also available in the front. At the rear, the setup is drum type, which is common in any front wheel braking options. Moreover, the braking system is enhanced with the Integrated Braking System (IBS) for better braking efficiency and further safety.
In the suspension system, the new Super Splendor BS6 comes with hydraulic telescopic fork suspensions in the front. At the rear it’s also hydraulic, those loaded with coil springs. Moreover, the rear setup is adjustable with 5-step adjustability. Hence you can the Super Splendor BS6 is nicely featured with its wheel, brake, and suspension systems.
Handling and Riding Features
In the handling, riding, and controlling features the new Hero Super Splendor BS6 designed handy with all the commuting features. It adopted the upright handling and riding ergonomics with the upright handlebar, seating, and control levers.
The bike is lighter in weight that is weighted 123kg in the standard disk brake version. The drum brake version is weighted 122kg. Hence with the 180mm ground clearance and 799mm of saddle height, it seems that it ensures easy and comfortable hassle-free riding.
Further, the longer and spacious seat with upright riding features the riding should be comfy to any type and age of commuter users. Meanwhile, the capable wheel, brake, and suspension system undoubtedly gave the profile to be a better-featured commuter.
Hero Super Splendor BS6Engine & feature
The new Hero Super Splendor BS6 precisely carries a 124.7cc single-cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled engine. This 2-valve, OHV engine featured with the Advanced Programmed Fuel Injection system instead of the conventional carburetor fuel feeding system.
Hence, it’s efficient in producing power and ensuring the maximum possible fuel economy. Supporting the same, the motorcycle also enhanced with the i3S fuel economy feature.
In the performance figures, this longer stroke engine is rated to produce the maximum power of 8kW and torque of 106.NM. So, the power and torque figure seem quite decent in terms of BS6 tweaks and updates.
In the other features, the engine featured with both kick and electric start system. And more conveniently it comes with an extensive 5-speed gear transmission system. Thus, the motorcycle also capable to ride comfortably in longer distances.
