Here Hero hasn’t disclosed the operational dimension of the iSmart engine cylinder. But both the bike comes with quite same displacement capacity and quite same figure of compression ratio. Hence power and torque rating of the both engine are quite same.

But in comparison Hero Splendor iSmart is quite in advance position considering the official power rating. The figure is higher than the Honda Livo 110. And another twist is that can be covered by Livo 110 as it designed more aerodynamic than iSmart and it 4Kg lighter than Hero iSmart.

In terms of fuel efficiency we assume both the bike will figure quite same digit of fuel efficiency. But of-course due to instant engine cut-off therefore iSmart feature Splendor iSmart can give higher figure of fuel efficiency than the Livo and again that applicable only for city rides.

Honda CB Hornet 160R VS Pulsar NS160 VS Apache RTR 160 – Battle of 160

Saleh Md. HassanNovember 19, 2017

Share on FacebookShare on Google+Tweet about this on TwitterShare on LinkedInPin on PinterestDigg thisEmail this to someone

Coming to the upcoming battle of 160cc bike in the Bangladesh the brands like Honda, Bajaj & TVS already placed in position of fight in web and within the gathering of coffee cup. Hence the rivals are still not available in our market and the fight placed only on virtual ground. But to fuel up this fight even in virtual here is our Honda CB Hornet 160R VS Pulsar NS160 VS Apache RTR 160 – Battle of 160. Hence it’s not only stimulation but we are with detailed comparison. Let’s head in.

Honda CB Hornet 160R VS Pulsar NS160 VS Apache RTR 160

Honda CB Hornet 160R VS Pulsar NS160 VS Apache RTR 160 Overview

After the relaxation of motorcycle engine cc limit we are quite sure of the arrival of these three bikes in Bangladesh. Though there is no official update of the specific launching date of those bikes but we are hopeful at least one of those will be available before this year ends. And we are sure about the rests to be launched within New Years first quarter. Whatsoever, lets introduce the rivals here in Honda CB Hornet 160R VS Pulsar NS160 VS Apache RTR 160 Overview.

Honda CB Hornet 160R

The Honda CB Hornet 160R is the robust 160cc category bike from Honda.  The product originated from the Honda Unicorn 160 but it better tuned to grab street sports category. Hence Honda CB Hornet 160R not only in India but also marketed in the countries of South America and in other Asian countries with different badge.

In India it launched at the end of 2015 and due to engine capacity restriction it didn’t launched in BD. Hence after the cc limit relaxation Bangladesh Honda PVT. Limited is going to launch this machine in our market soon.

Bajaj Pulsar NS160

Here the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 is the younger sibling of the Pulsar NS Series. The Pulsar NS badge is signed as Naked Sports. Hence after launching the Bajaj NS200 there was a rumor that Bajaj may launch a 150cc capacity of Pulsar NS for Bangladesh.

But Bajaj didn’t launch that and released Pulsar AS150 which was completely a different machine and designed for touring. And this time the after expansion of engine cc limit Bajaj is going to launch the all new Pulsar NS160 soon in Bangladesh.

TVS Apache RTR 160

The third competitor of our today’s discussion is TVS Apache RTR 160. Yes there is millions of fans of Apache RTR 150 in Bangladesh. This is one of the fastest and also economical bikes in 150cc category.

TVS Auto Limited also markets this 150cc model in South America and other Asian countries. But in Bangladesh there was a rumor that the RTR 150 & RTR 160 is same machine which different only in papers. Hence true is that both machine is completely different and engine profile is far different from each other. For enthusiasts we have described this term earlier. You can clarify yourself from our TVS Apache RTR 150 VS Apache RTR 160 Comparison Review.

Honda CB Hornet 160R VS Pulsar NS160 VS Apache RTR 160 Looks & Appearance

In comparison of looks and appearance of Honda CB Hornet 160R VS Pulsar NS160 VS Apache RTR 160 we can say all the bikes here sports designed bike and have distinctive appeal & appearance.

Here Honda CB Hornet 160R is going to be the brand new face in Bangladesh. The bike is very good designed sports looked bike from Honda after a long time. Honda R&D very carefully designed this bike in blend of civility as well as much aggressiveness.

It looks damn sharp from head to tail but no one can complain as that not matches with his age or personality. Moreover sharp edged, bulky but compact body design with bloated exhaust and most significantly the X-shape tail-lamp and fatter rear tire is much more appealing for the young riders. In addition this bike is very consciously designed for better comfort & safety.

Coming to the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 it’s a very aggressive looked true sports naked machine. It’s one and only identity we can describe is its naked aggressiveness. Its HE-MAN attitude already took place within millions of Pulsar NS fans in Bangladesh.

The NS160 is designed directly cloning the design of NS200. Hence our enthusiasts are so excited as they are getting the same design like Pulsar NS200 though the engine is smaller. But they are already happy of that muscled machine.

Talking about Apache RTR 160, its looks & design already is frequent and known in BD. There is nothing to introduce this machine as already we are using same designed machine but with 150cc engine.

But in comparison Apache RTR 160 is a good looking machine. Its aggressive eyebrow DRL & slashed tail-lamp gives its distinct identity. Moreover sharp and cutting edge profile created a different craze and acceptance among the young riders.

honda-cb-hornet-160r-vs-pulsar-ns160-vs-apache-rtr-160-wheel-brake-suspension

Honda CB Hornet 160R VS Pulsar NS160 VS Apache RTR 160 Wheel, Brake & Suspension

In terms of wheel, brake & suspension system the Honda CB Hornet 160R is much advanced with features. Here in this Honda CB Hornet 160R VS Pulsar NS160 VS Apache RTR 160 comparison Hornet got wider tire on its wheels.  Its 100mm in front and 140mm wider in rear. The wheels are equipped with all alloy rim with tubeless tires.

The braking system of Hornet comes with CBS Combi-braking system with equalizer as standard. But there is also option of rear drum brake for economical buyers. Coming to the suspension system Hornet comes with telescopic fork in front and mono shock absorber at rear.

The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 comes with all alloy rim with tubeless tires. Here the tires are quite narrow in terms of 160cc bike as its 80mm in front and 110mm in rear. The NS160 comes with disk brake in front wheel only and rear brake is conventional drum type. Bajaj didn’t even given any option for rear disk brake.

The suspension system of NS160 is telescopic type in front and rear one is mono shock absorber. Here the rear mono shock absorber is charged with gas that Bajaj mentioned as Nitrox mono shock absorber with canister.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 is little more advanced than NS160 in terms of wheel & brakes. RTR-160 comes with 90mm tire in front and 110mm tire in rear wheel. The tires are tubeless type and rims are all alloy.

Moreover RTR-160 got disk braking system on both front & rear wheel. But there is an option of drum brake on rear wheel for economical buyers. Hence coming to the suspension system RTR 160 comes with telescopic fork suspension in front. But unfortunately this bikes rear suspension system is are double unit and that charged with gas canister.

Honda CB Hornet 160R VS Pulsar NS160 VS Apache RTR 160

Honda CB Hornet 160R VS Pulsar NS160 VS Apache RTR 160 Seating & Riding

Considering seating and riding behavior of Honda CB Hornet 160R VS Pulsar NS160 VS Apache RTR 160 there is only few things to mention. Here all the three bikes designed with quite same style of riding posture. But of-course there is few differences.

Here Honda CB Hornet 160R comes with solid one piece seat with very comfortable sporty upright riding position. The handlebar is one piece pipe handle that positioned in upright mode. Hence seating & riding will be much more easy and comfortable in Hornet along with wider tire and rear mono suspension no doubt.

Secondly the Pulsar NS160 is an aggressive attitude bike with split type sporty handle bar. Here the seat also segmented and positioned in different height. But no worry as the sporty handlebar height is much in higher level than the rider seat height.

Hence riding and controlling would not tough in NS160 but split handlebar has some limitation for sure. Moreover thin tires have the less stability on the corners and also in loose surfaces.

Considering seating, riding and controlling TVS Apache RTR 160 is quite in aggressive position. This bike is designed with quite aggressive attitude. Seating is very good in this bike even with pillion.

But with lower height clip on handle bar with front focused weight distribution made this bike controlling quite tough. It feels tough in high speed situation and when dealing with sudden situations. Other than extreme situation riding in normal sequence Apache RTR 160 will be stable enough as it designed far different than RTR 150.

honda-cb-hornet-160r-vs-pulsar-ns160-vs-apache-rtr-160-engine-pperformance

Honda CB Hornet 160R VS Pulsar NS160 VS Apache RTR 160 Engine & Performance

In comparison of Honda CB Hornet 160R VS Pulsar NS160 VS Apache RTR 160 here we are in discussion on the engine & performance of the bikes. Here all the bikes 160cc street sports category bike. Engines are developed quite in same platform where power & performance figures are also very near to same. But of-course their capability & performance differs according to the technical features.

Here Honda CB Hornet 160R power & toque figure is higher than other two. It also comes with a mentionable compression ratio of 10:1. Hence being a longer stroke engine its acceleration will be significant in lower to mid RPM range. But in higher RPM range it will not give any extra benefit of gaining comparative top speed as its cylinder stroke is longer than the bore. But of-course it will ensure significant mileage than the rivals.

Secondly the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 official power and torque figure put it in between Hornet & RTR 160. But we can’t predict precisely as they didn’t disclosed the bore & stroke size of the cylinder and even the compression ratio. But overall being oil-cooled 4-valve DTS-I engine it can accelerate fast and give a linear throttle response within the RPM limit which is the core feature of Pulsar NS-Series.

Lastly here TVS Apache RTR 160 is literary a performance machine though there is some complain of controlling of the bike in high speed. Even the RTR 150 claimed huge for its engine vibration. But here we can expect the RTR 160 engine could be much smoother than the 150cc RTR as its cylinder size is completely different.

Its Over Square engine will put the rider in feelings of smother acceleration and also allow significant top speed. Lastly Apache RTR series also famous for significant mileage figure.

Honda CB Hornet 160R VS Pulsar NS160 VS Apache RTR 160

Honda CB Hornet 160R VS Pulsar NS160 VS Apache RTR 160 – Verdict

So readers here we are at the end of our Honda CB Hornet 160R VS Pulsar NS160 VS Apache RTR 160 comparison review. Here we already put enough clues in our discussion to favor the right bike according to our riders focus & need.

Truly all the three machine here is capable, nice and all new addition in our motorcycle market. Maybe some of the machines look or design is quite frequent to us. But truth is that we have been using degraded machines due to our cc limitation. Hence after getting permission of 165cc now we can test the real taste of origin if the companies don’t go for further modification specifically for our market.

Hence according to our assessment & prediction Honda CB Hornet 160R is the all purpose solid street machine. Literary it will drive out many of the present 150cc bikes from the track by its design, smoothness, performance and durability.

The Pulsar NS160 will be the hot candy for the youth no doubt. Its distinct look, design & attitude will rule the youngster’s heart as there are millions of NS200 lovers struggling and waiting for the blood of Pulsar NS in our land.

Lastly again Apache RTR 160 will kill from behind. As much we predict it will be the true speed machine in its category. Though we are already very much frequent of its look and appearance but in terms of performance it may jump on the track with new stimulation for sure.

So readers, here is all about our Honda CB Hornet 160R VS Pulsar NS160 VS Apache RTR 160 – Battle of 160. Hope you have enjoyed our ride through the battle of 160. Feel free to share & comment from your end and stay tuned with us. Thank you all.

Motorcycle Air Filter & Oil Filter – Utility & Purposes

Saleh Md. HassanOctober 29, 2017

Share on FacebookShare on Google+Tweet about this on TwitterShare on LinkedInPin on PinterestDigg thisEmail this to someone

Many times we face various queries related motorcycle performance in our facebook page and group. Commonly most of the issues relates with the motorcycle air filter and oil filter. Hence many of us still don’t know about the importance of motorcycle air filter & oil filter. Accordingly here we are with Motorcycle Air Filter & Oil Filter – Utility & Purposes. Let’s head in the discussion.

Motorcycle Air Filter

Motorcycle Air Filter – Utility & Purposes

Motorcycle Air filter is that part which supplies the clean air to the combustion chamber though it. You know every internal combustion engine therefore motorcycle engine needs huge amount of air for the combustion process. Hence the supplied air needed to be clean of solid foreign particles like dust, dirt, sand or other solid things.

So the engine intake manifold sucks the air through the air-filter element and gets clean air. Hence in such way air-filter supplies the clean air continuously. So you can understand if the air-filter element goes dirty then air flow volume will reduce dramatically.

Assume in such case what will happen? Answer is very easy as if the engine will not get necessary amount of air and will loose combustion efficiency and engine performance. Moreover when air suction is limited then it will suck the fuel more. Resulting fuel consumption will increase where the engine performance also interrupt.

motorcycle-oil-filter-service-mmaintenance

Motorcycle Oil Filter – Utility & Purposes

Motorcycle oil filter is that part which cleans the engine oil supplied toward the engine piston. You know in a motorcycle engine the engine-oil remains in the engine sump. That engine oil lubricates the fast moving parts as well as it also work for cooling those parts.

Hence the engine piston also very importantly needed to be lubricated. So a mechanical injector injects the engine oil from the engine sump. But here you know the piston is the most sophisticated part of an engine. It moves faster than any other parts inside the engine which needs continuous lubrication but with clean oil.

You know the same engine oil in the sump works to lubricate all the moving part inside the engine. So commonly the oil may contain very thin metal grindings or residue which is harmful for the piston and cylinder wall. Hence the oil needed to be clean before injecting toward cylinder wall through the piston vents.

Therefore here the engine oil filter works for cleaning the supplied oil. Here the engine oil supplies through the oil filter element before injecting toward piston or cylinder wall. Hence you can understand an oil filter ensures a long life of the piston and cylinder wall.

So if the oil filter element gets dirty of filtering metal grindings or other residue then what will happen? In such case oil supply toward the piston will reduce. Piston movement will infirm and in sudden moment the piston will siege forever. So never neglect of cleaning or changing the oil filter element within recommended interval or uses.

motorcycle-performance-air-filter-oil-filter

Performance Air & Oil Filters – Utility & Purposes

Guys you are already known about the motorcycle air filter and oil filter activity and necessity. So you should be caring of maintaining or replacing those parts within recommended interval of riding. Now another issue we face frequent query on it that is, “what is performance Air & oil filter?

Performance filters are nothing but those are made with high caliber materials that can serve extra long life. Moreover those kits can ensure very frequent supply of air or oil ensuring maximum efficiency of filtering. So when a bike designed or modified for increased or high performance then performance air & oil filter needed to support that enhanced activities.

Generally this performance kits made for working in extreme situations like racing, sporting or grand touring. But some of those can be used in our regular bike for getting some extended performance.

Hence here you have to be sure about the product certification or recommendation whether that compatible with your specific model of bike or not. And one more thing you have to keep in mind whether those performance products violates the specific model of bike warranty or not.

So readers that was all about our brief discussion on Motorcycle Air Filter & Oil Filter – Utility & Purposes. Wish you liked our discussion and got a clearer knowledge on those. Hence feel free to comment or ask your questions and stay tuned with us. Soon we are coming with new discussions on some new topic. Until then cordial thanks to you all.

Here one thing is sure as nothing cut off for the commercial production and it featured same like the concept. The only thing they used all new alloy wheel rim and rear seat which was not realistic while it showcased in Bangkok Motor Show 2017.

Another most major thing is the engine hired in the 150SS Racer from old Honda CBR150R. But in ExMotion it got all new engine. Honda Motorcycle Thailand mentioned as that engine block has never been used in any other bike previously. So the Honda CB150R ExMotion is all new machine from Honda.

Honda CB150R ExMotion Looks & Design

The new Honda CB150R ExMotion is a damn gorgeous looking solid street naked bike. The bike is designed completely under the theme of café racer but it more modern feature oriented. The new frame along with sports swing arm, muscled body panel, full digital instrument panel, true naked street fighter attitude made the ExMotion something more than a café racer.

Here the most attractive part of the bike is naked front view. The sparkling headlamp with the naked ODO panel with solid upright handlebar gave it’s a true street macho look.

The headlamp is conventional round pit but gorgeous thing is it segmented into to part with all LED light fittings. The upper half is for high beam and lower half for low. There also two LED line of DRL curved at top and bottom line of the round head lamp assembly. Here the turning indicators with tail lamps are also LED type.

The second most attractive thing is its side view. It’s a true street naked macho machine. The seating arrangement is compact and nicely matched with dented muscled fuel tank. The tank panel also enhanced with two bikini panel which gives support the large cooling radiator.

The engine got a under belly cowling where the under belly exhaust is just awesome. It is short but it has a visible gorgeous matted chrome face. Moreover with absolute naked rear wheel with bikini tire-fender altogether gives the ExMotion a Sci-fi look which is damn eye catching and truly gorgeous.

Honda CB150R ExMotion – Wheel, Brake & Suspension System

New neo style modern café racer Honda CB150R ExMotion comes with all new wheel, brake & suspension system. The wheels of ExMotion are ten spoke all alloy rim with wider front & rear tires. Here the front tire is 110mm & rear one is 150mm wider which is very uncommon in the 150cc motorcycle segment.

Coming to the braking system both the wheel of ExMotion fitted with hydraulic disk braking system. Here front disk is 296mm which is really impressive in terms of its category and the rear disk is 220mm in diameter.

Here the braking assembly is hired from NISSIN on both wheels.  And more impressively the front braking system is equipped with four pot clipper assembly.  Moreover there is ABS & G-Sensor as an option with the standard version. So you can see in braking system Honda CB150R ExMotion adopted much advanced feature.

In terms of suspension system the ExMotion also adopted updated suspension. Here front suspension is 41mm upside down (USD) telescopic fork type which is really rear in lower capacity bike of Honda. Whatsoever here the rear suspension is swing arm attached mono suspension. So Honda didn’t keep any corner to question its suspension system.

Honda CB150R ExMotion – Seating & Controlling

The seating position of ExMotion is sporty upright. As a café racer its riding is neither aggressive nor full upright but position is quite sporty and comfortable. The handle bar is a single piece pipe handle positioned in upright. In addition the seating & foot peg is positioned for very comfortable ride. This position is really suitable for both city and also stressful long ride.

The seat of ExMotion is very compact but of-course it designed with spacious and comfortable arrangement both for rider & pillion. The seat is split type where the rider seating is carved for better controllability and the pillion seat is flat & straight.

honda-cb150r-exmotion-seating-controlling

In terms of controlling café racers are constructed for easy & premium controlling. The ExMotion is a 123kg light weighted full naked bike. The 795mm of lower saddle height along with light weight allowed the bike for superb controlling both in city and highways.

But again there is a lack of a back support for the pillion though there are two grab notch under the seat. As a café racer Honda completely cut off its butt just after the pillion seat.

Honda CB150R ExMotion – Engine Feature

The concept model Honda 150SS showcased at Bangkok Motor Show 2017 with the old engine of Honda CBR150R. Hence that time enthusiast’s concentration wasn’t on the engine and its specification. But when the production version therefore CB150R EXMotion launched in market then people got it’s an all new engine fitted with new ExMotion.

According to A.P. Honda this engine block has never been used in any of the Honda bike previously. And more importantly this engine cylinder dimension doesn’t match with existing sports model of CBR150R. Here the cylinder dimension completely different and its quite square engine. Even the stroke also doesn’t matches. Hence no way of matching the connecting rod and other related major parts. So this ExMotion got all new engine.

We are really surprised as Honda still hasn’t revealed the engine power and torque rating. But there is a rumor as that engine power can be around 20PS! So whatever the reason we expect there positivism is hidden. Not to be disappointed but there are some clue for being the engine powerful.

This square engine with significant compression ratio of 11.3:1 clearly shows the capability of the engine. And one thing is very much sure with capable wheel, braking system and suspension system Honda will never release a low powered engine with their new bike. Hence we are positive and hope for the test ride after releasing that machine in our land.

Yamaha R15 V3 VS Suzuki GSX-R150 VS Honda CBR150R Comparison Review

Saleh Md. HassanOctober 14, 2017

Share on FacebookShare on Google+Tweet about this on TwitterShare on LinkedInPin on PinterestDigg thisEmail this to someone

The premium motorcycle market of Bangladesh is almost hot after getting new motorcycles from Indonesia. Currently there a hardcore battle took place within the brands Yamaha, Suzuki & Honda. Peoples are also so excited and somewhat confused what to buy and for what. Hence it’s too hard to choose one after another. Therefore here is our Yamaha R15 V3 VS Suzuki GSX-R150 VS Honda CBR150R Comparison Review. Let’s head in the battle and get clearer view of the bikes from our discussion.

Yamaha R15 V3 VS Suzuki GSX-R150 VS Honda CBR150R

Yamaha R15 V3 VS Suzuki GSX-R150 VS Honda CBR150R – Overview

Coming to our today’s discussion here all the three competitors are newly born and con-incidentally originated from Indonesia. You know from last year we are getting the premium bikes just after launching in Indonesia and Thailand. Therefore the individual motorbike importers are doing nice a job. Resulting we are getting the taste of some new bikes just after launching in international market.

Whatsoever here Yamaha R15 V3 is the latest release in Bangladesh and even in Indonesia. You know the craze of Yamaha R15 series is something like touching the peak of a mountain. Therefore after the launching the first model of Yamaha R15 on 2008 till now it fighting damn gorgeous. Hence the latest release of R15 therefore V3 just put the fuel on the fire of the battle zone.

The second listed bike here in our discussion is Suzuki GSX-R150. Till now it damn faster, lighter and aggressive attitude bike. This is really something faster like a viper in the desert. The bike released in Indonesia just at the end of last year. It becomes available in Bangladeshi market from the March of this year.

You know Honda bikes are like a silent killer. Hence here in our discussion the silent killer is Honda CBR150R Indonesia version. The machine has released in Bangladesh on June of 2016. It was literary a grand release in our market considering our restricted market situation. Therefore the bike is damn gorgeous and also capable in performance.

Therefore these three is our today’s competitor in the discussion of Yamaha R15 V3 VS Suzuki GSX-R150 VS Honda CBR150R Comparison. You know all the three bikes here is tremendous in quality, performance and feature. But of-course each of them has some different corner of strength and have weaknesses. So those are our point of discussion.

Yamaha R15 V3 VS Suzuki GSX-R150 VS Honda CBR150R Review

Yamaha R15 V3 VS Suzuki GSX-R150 VS Honda CBR150R – Look & Appearance

Here in our discussion on Yamaha R15 V3 VS Suzuki GSX-R150 VS Honda CBR150R all the bikes are street sports bike. All the three bikes are full faired and covered with full aerodynamic body kit. Hence considering design and feature all are same category bike.

Here Yamaha R15 V3 is designed with somewhat big bike look. Its appearance is quite like the newly released Yamaha YZF-R6. It comes with iconic dual head lamp with four pit LED head lamp assembly.  The front panel is wider with large wind screen where body panel is much bloated with huge wind tunnel. The rear part of the bike is also damn gorgeous with split seat, vented rear panel and with 140mm wider rear tire.

Here the Suzuki GSX-R150 is a super slim full faired bike. The bike is significantly light weighted we mentioned earlier. Concentrating on light weight feature the bike designed light in every possible corner of the bike. Hence the bike looks very sharp and aggressive from front to rear.

The Honda CBR150R Indonesia version is quite a blend of aggressiveness and politeness. You must have to respect its appearance in any crowd. It’s so decent and gorgeous with double pit sharp LED headlamp assembly. The bike is panelized with duel color scheme. The seat is split type and the rear part is damn sharp with sharp LED tail lamp & bikini tire fender. Over all it’s a damn gorgeous designed bike from Honda Indonesia.

yamaha-r15-v3-vs-suzuki-gsx-r150-vs-honda-cbr150r-wheel-brake-suspension

Yamaha R15 V3 VS Suzuki GSX-R150 VS Honda CBR150R – Wheel, Brake & Suspension

The wheel, brake and suspension system of the bikes here is quite same type. All the bikes here come with all alloy rim with tubeless type tire. Here Suzuki GSX-R150 front tire is quite narrower than the Yamaha R15 V3 & Honda CBR150R. In rear the R15 V3 tire is wider than the rest of two competitors. Hence considering tire R15 V3 got fatter tire then CBR150R and GSX-R150 got comparative narrower tire.

Coming to the braking system again Yamaha R15 V3 comes in first as its front brake disk is larger in diameter. And the rear brake disk also larger then the rest of the others. Here again Honda took place in second where GSX-R150 brakes are so light in design. The rear brake disk of GSX-R150 is really quite small in diameter and that lacks confidence for sure. But we can assure as all the bikes here comes with superior braking system but their capability is different for sure.

In terms of suspension system again Yamaha R15 V3 comes in front line. The R15 V3 comes with upside down telescopic shock absorbar and the rear one is monoshock with link type assembly. Here rest of the CBR150R and GSX-R150 also comes with same type of rear mono shock assembly. But their front telescopic shock absorber is not USD type. Here again we should mention as these bikes suspension system is significantly capable but in terms of confidence and updated feature R15 V3 comes in front and rest of two grabs the equal position.

Yamaha R15 V3 VS Suzuki GSX-R150 VS Honda CBR150R

Yamaha R15 V3 VS Suzuki GSX-R150 VS Honda CBR150R – Riding & Controlling

Riding and controlling is the significant feature of a bike even that is aggressively designed for sports. Here in terms of riding posture and controlling all the three bikes have some advancement and also some weaknesses.

All the bikes here come with split type seat with clip on type racing aligned handle bar. The foot-peg and other control levers are also positioned in racing alignment. Considering all the arrangements & riding position Honda CBR150R is most comfortable bike to ride. Its control is very easy and effortless. It’s not so bulky not a slender bike with very handy amount of weight. Here pillion seat is not so wide but over all it feels better riding with pillion than the rest of two.

On counter, considering riding and controlling feature Suzuki GSX-R150 comes after CBR150R. It’s literary due to light weight feature and slim & slender body design. But one thing is sure riding for prolonged time is awful with GSX-R150 and riding with pillion is really hell both for rider and pillion. It’s comfortable only with short solo riding within small territory but not for long. Again riding on highways it lacks confidence while crossing large size vehicle in high speed and in open air. Literary is shakes due to light weight.

Coming to the Yamaha R15-V3 taking everything in consideration actually it takes position in between of CBR150R and GSX-R150. Guys believe me as it’s not fun, truly it’s more comfortable to ride, handle and control then GSX-R150 even being heavy & bulky. It takes more space to turn but it easy and comfortable even with pillion. Its wider aligned handlebar, wider tire, heavy suspension and capable brake truly gives the impression of bigger bike. And in other meaning it builds the rider’s confidence even in high speed.

yamaha-r15-v3-vs-suzuki-gsx-r150-vs-honda-cbr150r-engine-performance

Yamaha R15 V3 VS Suzuki GSX-R150 VS Honda CBR150R – Engine & Performance

In terms of engine & performance Yamaha R15 V3 VS Suzuki GSX-R150 VS Honda CBR150R all are significantly capable. There are few different corners which determine different capability of those bikes in different situation.

Here coming to the Yamaha R15 V3 the engine is larger in capacity. It’s quite a square engine with significant compression ratio. Moreover with VVA valve timing in high RPM and assist slipper clutch the R15 V3 gives most powerful and capable attitude in all RPM situation. In addition it also will ensure significant mileage simultaneously with power and acceleration. And truly due to little large size engine, its power, clutch & VVA all together it gives really ease feel of power play.

Afterward the Suzuki GSX-R150 comes with an over square DOHC engine that produces significant amount of power and torque. In terms of power and torque figure it near equal to R15 V3. But it’s a very light weighted bike. Hence it can accelerate fast and run faster & smoother. But in the long it lacks confidence in high speed. Moreover it gets super light like flying while gaining top speed which somewhat risky.

Lastly again Honda CBR150R is the balanced pack of power, mileage and confidence. This DOHC square engine allows very smooth flow of power & acceleration in all RPM. The most significant thing is it also ensures significant amount of mileage even in power riding. Moreover riding in high speed even in open air or crossing the large vehicles it never lack the control or confidence a bit. Therefore Honda CBR150R is the true silent killer.

Yamaha R15 V3 VS Suzuki GSX-R150 VS Honda CBR150R

Yamaha R15 V3 VS Suzuki GSX-R150 VS Honda CBR150R – End Note

So guys here in our today’s discussion all the three bikes are featured with latest technology and features. But the bikes are featured quite in different concentration to take place in the market and fight from their own corners.

Here the Yamaha R15 V3 featured for ruling hard this segment with power, control and confidence. Hence quality and overall performance is inevitably core value of this Yamaha breed. Hence no sacrifice comes on those. Moreover with VVA valve timing with assist slipper clutch gave the R15 V3 the advancement of giving the rider real racing feeling.

Secondly the Suzuki GSX-R150 is concentrated designed for aggressive sports riding. Here core concentration is speed; nothing but only acceleration and speed. If you are a rider of damn speed lover and love to ride aggressive & solo then GSX-R150 is best featured for you. Nothing other than speed you can expect from this aggressive speed machine of Suzuki.

Lastly the Honda CBR150R is the true alternative of Yamaha R15 V3. We mentioned CBR150R as the silent killer. It allows very easy of control, significant acceleration and of-course high speed riding confidence. But considering few corner it lacks a little like top speed which is really very minimal and can be covered by riders own capability.

So readers here we have put enough clues to support and get your ultimate machine from these three. Hope you are much clear about these bikes capability and back lags. Therefore you can share your views and assessment on our Yamaha R15 V3 VS Suzuki GSX-R150 VS Honda CBR150R Comparison Review. Feel free to comment. Therefore stay connected with us, thank you all.

Saleh Md. HassanOctober 10, 2017

Share on FacebookShare on Google+Tweet about this on TwitterShare on LinkedInPin on PinterestDigg thisEmail this to someone

Motorcycle is a most joyful as well as a risky vehicle to ride. Worldwide it is most popular way of transportation which core attraction is freedom. Riding a motorcycle joyful, carefree and safe we needed to be habituated with some precautions. Therefore in that concentration we are herewith Motorcycle Riding Gear – Protective Apparel & Safety Issues to make you learn about the riding gears and their necessity. Wish after reading and following the suggestions your riding experience will be more pleasant and safe.

motorcycle-riding-gear-basic-apparel

Motorcycle Riding Gear – Basic Apparels

Riding a motorcycle first and most important issue is rider’s safety. As its two wheeled so it’s so much risky and often can cause accident if we don’t ride carefully. Moreover other vehicles careless movement also causes accident very easily. So motorcycle rider needed to be more caring about safety.

For safety issue rider’s wearing and apparel is a vital concern. It is recommended wearing at least a minimal set of protective riding gears while riding. Wearing these gears definitely protects the rider from fatigue, air pressure, dust even scratches and ensures physical safety.

motorcycle accessories in bangladesh

Therefore in case of common riding situation here we listed the standard riding gears. These are the minimum wearing stuffs which you needed to use always while riding a motorbike.

  • Full face helmet with colorless & natural transparent visor.
  • A pair of boots which can protect the toe and ankle.
  • A pair of full size gloves.
  • Knee and elbow guards.
  • All weather wind breaker.

These are the standard & common safety gears for riding a motorcycle in any country or any type of road conditions. But when riders go for long and stressful rides then must have to be dressed with extended & full set of gears.

motorcycle-riding-gear-protective-apparel

Motorcycle Riding Gear – Protective Apparels

In terms of enhanced safety gear here full set of body armor covering elbow, shoulder, backbone and chest is preferred. In such case you can use those armors separately or you can use jacket & trousers armored with Kevlar protective. Wearing a protective riding jacket and trouser is enough to deal with the long riding stresses & common safety issues.

Here In case of different weather condition you have to take extra wearing for cold or rain. In winter you can use extra layer of garments inside the jacket and trouser. And a quality rain suite can protect you from the rain.

For the foggy or rainy weather rider also needed anti-fog visor for clearer view through the visor. In addition waterproof or synthetic gloves and boots are privileged for comfortable riding in winter and monsoon.

Here in hot summer you can use vented gears & apparels which are now a day frequently available in Bangladesh. In addition keeping a hydration pack on your shoulder is very helpful to keep the rider hydrated in the all weather situation.

Motorcycle Riding Gear

Motorcycle Riding Gear – Things to Avoid for Safety Issue

In Bangladesh and also in other Asian country we have some miss practice on wearing while riding a motorcycle. We are really not aware of what we are wearing while riding. We are not aware of minimum safety and sometime riding manner is worthy.

Firstly let’s talk about the helmet. Riding without a helmet or with a tiny cap type helmet is very common in Asian counties. Please leave it just right now! It does nothing for your safety moreover it hampers your concentration of riding. The classic half face helmets also don’t protect the face, so also try to avoid such helmets. Only full face helmet ensures proper safety.

motorcycle-riding-guards-in-bangladesh

The second most irritating and unmannered thing of riding is riding without wearing boots. In our region most of the people very much habituated riding their bike wearing tiny slippers. Please just leave it. It directly hampers the concentration on riding and it increases the scope of accidents. At least use closed-lace footwear.

Third most important thing is wearing very loose fitting native clothing. This type of native loose fitting cloths has many loose ends which are dangerously liable for accident. Please strictly avoid those with the silly slipper. Whatever the weather condition use quite body fitting garments which has no loose end.

Fourth most important thing is avoiding purchasing cheap quality gears like gloves and protective guards. Please avoid this. Care for you and your family, they are dependent on you. Purchase only one but buy the quality product. It will in crease your safety and satisfaction.

Keeway RKS 100 vs Dayang Runner Bullet 100 Core Comparison

So guys here Keeway RKS 100 is showing pretty good figure of engine performance rating in comparison with Dayang Runner Bullet 100. Here both the bike engine is four stroke air cooled engine.

Here fuel supplied by carburetor and engines are equipped with two valve. Both of them have same 4 speed gears and with same starting feature.

keeway-rks-100-specification

But significant issue is the RKS 100 engine is a square engine with the compression ratio of 9.5:1. The power and torque rating is also good as commuter. But one thing sure this engine needs pure fuel with at least RON87 which is not frequent in our rural and in most of the fuel station contamination is a viral issue.

So in such situation RKS 100 user will somewhat struggle due to fuel contamination problems. Hence they will face frequent maintenance & service issues and somewhat face bad performance of the bike as it is a commuter.

dayang-runner-bullet-100-specification

On the other side Dayang Runner Bullet 100 comes with longer stroke engine with 8.8:1 compression ratio. And this engine also delivers quite lower power and torque in comparison of RKS 100. But here Bullet 100 will run more hassle free in terms of fuel contamination comparing the RKS 100.

But we think Runner could have got more power figures by increasing its compression. If so then it might struggled for pure fuel and somewhat decreased its fuel efficiency which is the key feature of the bike, that’s it.

keeway-rks-100-vs-dayang-runner-bullet-100-comparison-review

Keeway RKS 100 vs Dayang Runner Bullet 100 Comparison Sum Up

suzuki-gsx-r150-vs-yamaha-r15-v3-engine-performance-comparison

Suzuki GSX-R150 vs Yamaha R15 V3 – Engine Feature

So after the specification table here we are in the technical discussion on Suzuki GSX-R150 vs Yamaha R15 V3. You know the GSX-R150 is precisely a 147.3cc bike where the R15 V3 engine capacity is 155.1cc. Here both the engine is high rev engine and maximum power squeezes out at higher RPM.

Here you can see both the engine compression ratio is quite same and power and torque output also quite same. But here both bikes have some different angle of advancement.

The Suzuki GSX-R150 engine cylinder is over square. So after getting over the initial lower RPM band it will accelerate aggressively and will touch the peak of speed very sequentially. Moreover light weight and slim aerodynamic body will allow GSX-R150 to go faster. Hence fuel economy will also get a notable figure in this bike.

yamaha-yzf-r15-v3-vva-slipper-clutch

On counter Yamaha R15 V3 comes with square dimension of cylinder. So it will allow same sequence of power and torque in all RPM band. Moreover comparative little lower RPM operation character with little increased amount of power and torque can put R15 V3 quite in advance.

Additionally here in this new engine the VVA therefore variable valve actuation allows précised combustion even in quick throttle situation in high RPM. So in high speed riding R15 V3 is much more stable and it feels more confident.

Again, in terms of gaining top speed which is a weakness of youngsters you have to consider the bulky design of R15 V3. The bloated fairing, extra weight and fatter tire will surely reduce its capability a little. But of-course it increases much more stability in extreme situations.

Finally don’t forget the assist slipper clutch added with this R15-V3 engine. It can dramatically change the performance scenario when rider in the battle on the street.

Motorcycle Engine Overheating – What’s The Reason?

Saleh Md. HassanSeptember 24, 2017

Share on FacebookShare on Google+Tweet about this on TwitterShare on LinkedInPin on PinterestDigg thisEmail this to someone

Very often I hear from the riders that their motorcycle engine gets overheated very frequently. Some of the rider complains that they can’t deal with the overheating as that is frequent and extreme. Hence answering this issue here is our Motorcycle Engine Overheating – What’s The Reason? So let’s try to get the true answers through our discussion.

Motorcycle Engine Overheating

Motorcycle Engine Overheating – Is That True?

You know motorcycle engine is the hotter part of a motorcycle. The engine gets hot very frequently and it’s very common. Due to combustion process engine gets hot and hot temperature is needed for prefect combustion inside the internal combustion engine. So motorcycle engine getting hot is a very normal and common issue.

Hence, literary there is nothing to be worried about it. I am saying again as nothing to be worried. But if you are complaining again and again then answer me some question.

  • Does your bike have engine temperature indicator or temperature gauge?
  • Does indicator reading go over the maximum temperature limit?
  • Is that goes maximum limit always just after riding a few kilometers?
  • If your bike engine doesn’t have temperature gauge then how you determine it’s getting overheat?
  • In such case does the engine gets halt, misfires or loses the compression?
  • Does it halted on running and you faced this several time?

So readers answering those question truthfully you will get the real situation of your motorcycle engine. Now be sure is that really engine overheating issue or just a confusion grown in your mind. Just believe me most of the situation maximum riders poses such kind of confusion that his/her bike engine getting overheat. I am in doubt as that is not true, moreover it’s really a normal condition of that motorcycle engine.

Motorcycle Engine Heating In Modern Motorcycle – The Reasons

If you are really having some confusion on engine heating issue then you should know that modern bikes are really hotter than the previous. You should know modern bikes have more powerful & compact engine. Those powerful engines produce maximum possible power with minimum amount of fuel.

Hence the engine heating is very common issue here. Therefore engine operating temperature issue also differs dramatically according to model, brand and manufacturer. So here is the reason of engine heating in modern bikes which is really regular and normal.

  • Tight and compact design & construction of engine.
  • Light weight small engine but that produces huge amount of power.
  • Maximum efficiency of combustion and maximum fuel economy that uses lesser fuel but maximum air.
  • Maximum possible compression ratio which is the most significant reason of heating.
  • Very fast and quick combustion process that produces maximum possible RPM and it produces extreme heat.
  • Therefore high rev and quick throttle response character of the engine in reason of heating.
  • External body fairing, panel and weather condition are also in reason.

So after those reasons you can understand why the modern motorbikes engine gets heat so much. I am sure you will agree with me, isn’t your bike more powerful than the 20 years older your family bike?

Isn’t it runs faster and accelerate faster than that old machine? Isn’t its engine featured with latest performance features? I think with those questions now you are free of your confusions and misconceptions about motorcycle engine overheating issue.

 motogp-bike-burns-motorcycle-engine-overheating

Motorcycle Engine Overheating – When You Should Worry

Most of us burn inside just thinking that our motorcycle maybe getting overheated. Therefore we complain again and again to the service center which is just a lame practice. Before complaining about that be sure what the true character of that specific bike engine.

Is that regular street bike or the bike designed for higher performance? Believe me, an enduro off-road bike is too much hot than any other street bike. Same character also goes on the racing bikes. So be sure about your bike character. Hence let’s know when actually you should complain.

  • Be careful when the bike engine temperature gauge shows maximum heating status of the engine just after running few kilometers.
  • If there is no engine temperature gauge than you can feel it (again don’t allow confusion in your mind). In such case engine halt or misfires or looses compression.
  • For all kind of bike the most common indicator of motorcycle engine overheating is engine just get halt in overheat condition. Again it misfires and it loses its compression until getting cool.
  • In such continuous condition engine oil reduces in quantity and makes smoke. Engine oil also can leak through crankcase gasket joint.
  • Sometime clutch palate also burn and damages.
  • Fuel consumption also increases that time but it’s not the major sign of engine overheating.

So guys here you got the actual signs through which you can understand that the bike engine really getting overheated. Is such case you must have to be worried & cautious and find the proper solution.

Motorcycle Engine Overheating – Common Reasons

When finding solutions against overheating you should know the reasons behind overheat issue. There are many reasons of motorcycle engine overheating. Most of the reasons are not are not so critical and those can be avoid with regular maintenance or carefulness. But some reasons you can’t avoid but have to take precautions to keep the bike engine within its temperature limit. Let’s learn about those.

  • Obstacle on the ways of engine cooling system. Whether it air-cooled or liquid-cooled or oil-cooled just remove any of the obstacle from the way of cooling system and even from around the engine.
  • Fitting extra body cowling or panel around the engine or cooling system. Just avoid it.
  • Using lower grade and RON of gasoline in high performance engine.
  • Using contaminated fuel. It has direct impact on motorcycle engine overheating.
  • Spark plug has a significant role in high performance engine. Please don’t experiment with this thing. Just use manufacturer recommended model of spark plug.
  • Using same spark plug in extended period than recommendation.
  • Rusted fuel nozzle or carburetor that is one of the reasons which prevents regular flow of fuel.
  • Dirty and dusty air filter that prevents the supply of right quantity of air.
  • Engine oil has the significant role in motorcycle engine cooling system. Please don’t go for any kind of experiment on engine oil. Just use recommended grade of engine oil and use the same brand & grade of oil possibly within engine lifetime.
  • Use recommended measure of engine oil. Never use the less or more than recommendation and just drain it in regular interval as manufacturer recommends.
  • Cooling fluid is another significant issue of engine cooling system. Use recommended mixture of coolant in recommended measure. Also no experiment with that.

ktm-1190r-in-bangladesh

Some reasons are not regular but comes with situations

  • Motorcycle piston failure is a reason of engine overheating. Its not regular issue but it comes when the piston or cylinder wall gets wear.
  • Clutch plate wear also a reason and modifying the clutch plate set is another reason of motorcycle engine overheating.
  • Some users don’t know motorcycle choke cable failure in carburetor bike is an issue of engine overheating. When the cable gets jam or wear then carburetor allows in-taking more fuel than the regular and it over heats the engine.
  • Performance kit installation. This is the most common issue which liable for motorcycle engine overheating. Performance kits are made for accelerate the motorcycle performance over the standard limit. Inevitably it increases engine activity than regular and it produces overheat. So before any type of modification and performance kit installation be sure about its impact and reliability.
  • Another thing there is no way to avoid the weather condition. Extreme hot weather undoubtedly has the impact on bike engine heating issue.
  • Lastly riding behavior of a rider has the major impact on the bike & engine. Continuously riding with rough throttle, high revving etc can make the engine so much stressed that the engine can easily overheat. Moreover riding for a prolonged time in tour, race or enduro has the significant impact on motorcycle engine.

Very often I hear from the riders that their motorcycle engine gets overheated very frequently. Some of the rider complains that they can’t deal with the overheating as that is frequent and extreme. Saleh Md. HassanSeptember 20, 2017

Share on FacebookShare on Google+Tweet about this on TwitterShare on LinkedInPin on PinterestDigg thisEmail this to someone

Yamaha Motorcycle is the one of the leading motorcycle brand in Bangladesh. The Yamaha FZ-S series has huge crowd on our roads since the year 2010. The first version of Yamaha FZ-S series literary ruled hard the market and the new FI series also doing nice. Considering new FI version after the launch we are facing very frequent queries on air filter and oil filter maintenance of new Yamaha FZ-S & Fazer FI. Sequentially here is our Air Filter Maintenance & Oil Filter Replacement In Yamaha FZ-S & Fazer FI. Let’s learn in brief.

yamaha-fz-s-fi-v2-review-price-feature-specification

You know in Bangladesh we permitted to use very low capacity of motorcycle up to the capacity of 165cc. Actually this is the learner segment of motorcycle considering international scenario of motorcycling. Whatsoever many of the motorcycles within this capacity have easy replaceable air filter & oil filter element. But some of the motorcycle engine oil filter element is not easy removable and sometime needs to open the engine crankcase.

In Yamaha FZ-S & Fazer series the positions of air filter and oil filter elements designed quite wisely to get it maintained or replaced easily. So anyone who habituated using basic tools can maintain or replace those filters with minimum efforts. Hence here again we should mention that opening the air-filter and oil-filter housing is quite easy job in new FZ-S & Fazer-FI. Therefore let’s start with air filter assembly.

Air Filter Maintenance

Air Filter Maintenance In Yamaha FZ-S & Fazer FI

In Yamaha FZ-S or Fazer FI the air filter is paper type like the previous version. Here the folded paper filter molded inside the plastic frame and that is the air filter. It set inside the air box that fixed under the rider seat but opens at left side panel. Commonly in most of the motorcycle the air box situated whether under the seat or under the fuel tank. But under seat position of air box is good for easy maintenance.

So for cleaning the air filter element you have to remove both the seats first. The air filter of new FZ-S and Fazer mounted under seat but it is different in size & dimension. Its intake hole is under the rider seat but it opens at left side panel we have mentioned earlier.

Therefore get removed the left side panels for unscrewing the air filter housing cover. Then unscrew the housing cover and pull the air filter element out. Clean the air filter with high pressure of compressed air. Here never use any liquid or solid particle like brush for cleaning that paper filter.

After cleaning the dust or dirt from the filter just fix it again with right direction. Yamaha recommends the cleaning of air filter in 3000km of interval and replacement after each 12000km. But considering rider’s riding habit and local environment situation the interval may shorter for better performance. And it’s really good getting the air filter neat & clean just before a long ride and after a long ride. It increases fuel economy also gives optimum engine performance.

Oil Filter Replacement In Yamaha FZ-S & Fazer

The engine oil filter element in Yamaha FZ-S or Fazer is external type just as previous version. It also mounted on same place like the previous version. Hence its maintenance or replacement is very easy.

But if you don’t know the oil filter location you can locate the oil filter housing from owners manual or from the above picture. Hence before opening the oil filter housing get right measure of socket wrench, recommended amount and grade of engine oil, oil drain pan etc.

Here you have to remember that Yamaha doesn’t recommends oil filter cleaning for this model of bike. They recommends for the replacement after 3000km or earlier after the initial replacement of 1000km at the end of break-in. Whatsoever to replace the oil filter element you also have to drain the engine oil from the engine sump as regular periodic draining.

So get ready with write measure of socket wrench. Then put the oil drain pan under the engine and open the oil drain nut. Get loose the engine oil filler cap from oil filling hole for fast draining. After draining the oil unscrew the oil filter housing nuts and remove the filter housing cover. Then carefully remove the rubber gasket and oil filter element.

Soak The Oil Filter Wet With Oil Before Replacement

Before setting a new oil filter get it wet soaking some fresh engine oil. It needed to get the filter workable instantly just after replacing the new one. So get a clean cap with some fresh engine oil. Put the oil filter inside the oil and get it soaked properly.

After getting the filter wet with oil properly set it inside the housing in right direction. Fix the housing cover with gasket again. Now fix the engine drain nut and refill the engine oil in the crankcase as regular with right grade and volume of oil.

So now you have replaced the oil filter and also drained & refilled with new engine oil, that’s it. One more thing you have to keep in mind the engine oil refilling volume is more than regular volume while replacing the oil filter element. So get the right volume of oil from owners manual.

Motorcycle Lean Angle – A Brief Discussion

Saleh Md. HassanSeptember 10, 2017

Share on FacebookShare on Google+Tweet about this on TwitterShare on LinkedInPin on PinterestDigg thisEmail this to someone

Motorcycle is the most adventurous as well as a dangerous vehicle. Riding a motorcycle is a fun therefore leaning & cornering is something more which gives the feeling of real adventure. Hence motorcycle lean angle is very much related term which associated with modern performance motorcycles. So making this term more clearly to our readers we are herewith Motorcycle Lean Angle – A Brief Discussion. Let’s head in.

motorcycle-lean-angle

Motorcycle Lean Angle – What is that?

A motorcycle is the vehicle which runs ensuring balance even every millisecond. Here the rider plays the major roll of balancing the motorcycle against the gravity and speed. No other vehicle rather than motorcycle need such a précised balance even riding very straight.

Moreover in turning and in the corners a motorcycle needs to ensure some critical balance against speed, gravity and velocity. Therefore leaning in turning or in corners is an essential technique to keep the motorcycle in balance. So leaning is a very common term of balancing a motorcycle.

motorcycle-lean-angle-safe-limit

Hence here the term comes how much a rider will lean his or her bike to keep it in balance. In answer, it depends on the angle of the corner, motorcycle velocity, riding surface & tire surface condition, motorcycle weight etc.

The calculation basically comes just on the turning moment of a motorcycle which achieved by riders previous learning and experience. But modern researchers calculated out the maximum leaning angle of a motorcycle from the straight riding position which ensures the safety margin. So this is the lean angle of a motorcycle.

Leaning angle of a motorcycle is relatively varies according motorcycle type and mode of riding. So motorcycle lean angle is not equal for every segment of motorcycle. For example MotoGP racing bikes lean angle is much wider and different than the street sports or regular street bikes.

motorcycle-lean-angle-sensor-utility

Motorcycle Lean Angle Sensor

Motorcycle lean angle sensor is a sensitive part therefore a sensor which acts according the leaning of the motorcycle. The lean angle sensor actually detects the leaning angle of the motorcycle therefore the motorcycle engine. When the a certain motorcycle crosses over the safe margin of lean angle then it cuts off the engine power and stop it.

The lean angle sensor therefore LAS has different name from different brand or manufacturer. Some manufacturer names it as Tip Over Sensor, Bank Angle Sensor, Slop Angle Sensor or with other name. LAS is the device generally that attached in the circuit in between power and ignition coil and makes the circuit complete.

This setting actually is applicable for most common profile bikes. But in the high profile premium bikes it also sends angle data toward the motorcycle engine control unit therefore ECU. The ECU responds to the angle data and takes necessary safely and controlling measures.

Motorcycle Lean Angle

Motorcycle Lean Angle Sensor Utility

The basic utility of the motorcycle lean angle sensor is it cuts off the power of the engine while the motorcycle goes over the safe lean angle limit. You know a motorcycle engine is a combination of many high speed moving parts. When a certain model of motorcycle goes over the safe angle limit it surely goes to face a crash. Therefore in such situation the engine needs to be off to minimize internal mechanical hazard and also minimize destruction accrued from spinning wheel or drive chain.

Hence this feature is the most basic feature of a motorcycle lean angle sensor. And circuit cut off feature is the basic feature which commonly adopt for the most general profile bikes. But in the high profile premium bikes the lean angle sensor also does some additional tasks.

It sends angle data to the ECU therefore it helps for controlling traction control, ABS control on corners, wheelie control in lean condition etc. And commonly the engine ignition cut-off feature acts when the bike goes over the safe lean angle limit. That’s it.

TVS Apache RTR 150 VS Apache RTR 160 Engine & Technical Differences

After the official specification table you already have gotten a better view of the both bikes. So here is our discussion on the engine and technical differences between TVS Apache RTR 150 VS Apache RTR 160. Over the most of the corners of similarities this is the most significant part which boldly differentiates both the model of Apache RTR.

Here both the Apache RTR engine designed with same platform. We assume most of the parts of the both engine are same except the cylinder bore and cylinder head assembly. Here Apache RTR 150 comes with 147.6cc capacity of cylinder displacement. On the counter Apache RTR 160 come with 159.7cc of displacement.

tvs-apache-rtr-150-apache-rtr-160-looks-design

Significant Technical Differences

Hence the cylinder displacement size difference is a big issue as the power and torque figure changes here dramatically. But the most significant difference here I found that is its cylinder dimension size that is bore & stroke size.

Here both the bike cylinder size differences are not different in same ratio. Moreover those are designed differently and that gave both the bike completely a different character. Not only by power or torque change but they posses different character of throttle response, acceleration, speed and fuel economy.

Here Apache RTR 150 comes with quite square shape of cylinder that is the bore stroke length is quite same. On counter Apache RTR 160 engine is over square and the cylinder bore is much wider than the stroke.

Hence the Apache RTR 150 engine produces quite same ratio of acceleration in all RPM and gives quite a constant mileage within its operating RPM band. On counter the Apache RTR 160 will play softer in lower RPM but surely will play hard & aggressive from the mid range RPM. And one thing more Apache RTR 160 will give the fuel economy according what and how you ride your bike. So it’s more variable than the Apache RTR 150.

TVS Apache RTR 150 VS Apache RTR 160 Verdict

So readers after the core technical discussion here we are near to end of our today’s discussion on TVS Apache RTR 150 VS Apache RTR 160. Hope we could describe very clearly both the model of Apache RTR according to their official features.

To be frank personally I am quite hopeful about the bike of Apache RTR 160 as this is the model which developed for the in-house use of Indian motorcycle market. They designed it solely for their own use. Its not degraded or modified to cop with other countries need.

Therefore if that bike comes in our market without any modification or further change then we will get a solid Apache RTR. And wish it will able to wipe off the lacks of previous Apache RTR 150.

Well at the end hope you have enjoyed our TVS Apache RTR 150 VS Apache RTR 160 Comparison review. So feel free to put your comments bellow related any of the bike issues; therefore stay connected with us. Thank you all.
