Suzuki Motorcycle India has released the all-new 2019 Suzuki Gixxer this July 2019 (Source). The model unleashed just after a week of the release of new 2019 Gixxer SF. Both the machines featured with revised features and with updated looks & design. Meanwhile, the new Gixxer got the revised look that unmatched with the older profile.
At first, the new version of the motorcycle got a massive upgrade on the exteriors. Including the all-new appearances, the motorcycle still is iconic to the series. Moreover, it bold fully reflects the true Suzuki GSX-R attitude. Hence, keeping the fuel tank top-dents and middle side panels idle the exterior updated totally reckless.
The fuel tank shrouds got the blade-like extensions. Hence, the side panel cracked with adding a new design of rear end. Thereof, the seat is now segmented with different height pieces. Along with the new anchor shape of the LED tail lamp and split grab rail the tail is completely new.
Again, featuring the same dual exhaust the unit also got a refreshed and longer shape. Further, the rear remaining sporty naked, where the wheel got a new bikini mudguard. Hence, it looks cool, compact and sportier.
Lastly, coming to the head, it’s completely a new piece that crafted with new shape & design of headlamp. The diamond-shaped unit literally blinks with dedicated multi-pit LED setup. Along with this new head, the ODO is fully naked. It’s also a brand-new console that is fully digital which reflects the refreshed identity of new 2019 Gixxer.
Frame, Wheel, Brake & Suspension Setup
The new 2019 Suzuki Gixxer is carrying quite the same frame, wheel, brake, and suspension system as was previously. Further, a few refreshments took place to cope with the new design. Hence, the dimensions are also changed matching with the new exteriors.
The wheels are remaining the same paired 6-spoke alloy rims those fitted with tubeless type tires. Both the wheel brakes are hydraulic disc brakes. In addition, the single-channel ABS featured as standard with the new 2019 Gixxer.
Coming to the suspension system its 41mm upright telescopic fork suspension in the front. The rear is mono that unites with the rectangular swingarm. Hence, in this new update, both the suspensions are tweaked for better street performance and controlling features.

Again, in terms of overall dimension, the new Gixxer also got few dimensional changes. The new machine is now weighted 140kg including fuel and all the fluids. The wheelbase also increased a little, and due to the new design of saddle, its height also increased. Hence, overall the motorcycle got a different measure of dimensions and handling profiles.
Engine Performance & Feature
The engine of the new Suzuki Gixxer 155 remained quite unchanged. That is the same single-cylinder, four-stroke air-cooled, SOHC 2-valve engine. The bore & stroke of the cylinder remaining the same, thereby it’s the same 155cc longer stroke engine. Besides those, the engine is now tweaked up with BS-IV standard.
Furthermore, the old carburetor fuel feeding replaced with the electronic fuel injection system. Thereby coping with BS-IV and new fuel feeding, the SEP engine now delivers the précised power delivery of 14.1PS. Henceforward, the torque remaining same as the older version and that is 14NM.
Further, Suzuki omitted the manual kick starter from this model and only electronic starter took the place. The 5-speed gear transmission also remaining the same. Hence, considering overall after the new enhancement and tweaking the engine is refined with confirmed performance and fuel economy.
